External manifestations of internal causes, or What does problematic facial skin indicate?
Problematic skin is the most common complaint that leads a person to a cosmetologist's office
Skin prone to excessive dryness or increased oiliness, on which rashes of an inflammatory or non-inflammatory nature, post-inflammatory pigment spots, vascular defects, peeling or other cosmetic defects appear, are defined by doctors as problematic. How to establish the causes of this skin condition in order to prescribe adequate treatment?
The most common cause of skin disorders is hormonal, which most often manifests itself in the form of acne. In the development of this pathology, age (12–25 years), genetic predisposition, etc. is important.
As you know, the skin is a mirror of our body, that is, an external reflection of the state of internal organs and systems. So the next common cause of rashes is a disease of the gastrointestinal tract. In this case, skin manifestations can be different and depend on the damage to one or another part of it.
Chronic stress is another important cause of skin problems. It is well known that the skin reflects the emotional state of a person. Given the common embryonic origin of the skin and the central nervous system, the relationship of these systems can be predicted.
Conducting an examination with a detailed interview of the patient will help the cosmetologist, if possible, establish the cause of rashes (if necessary, wait for the consultation of a dermatologist or gastroenterologist) and provide recommendations for salon and home care.
