Cosmetic cleaning is probably one of the most popular procedures. However, its apparent simplicity has become a stumbling block for more than one generation of cosmetologists. That is why it is very important to approach the cleaning session armed with fundamental knowledge and skills.
Most often, the acquaintance of the patient and cosmetologist takes place precisely thanks to this cosmetic procedure. However, in order for the relationship to develop, it is necessary to understand the details. And for a detailed analysis, you should decide on the terms. So, cleaning means removing excess sebum (skin fat), exfoliating a small amount of keratinocytes (dead cells), extracting contents from sebaceous glands (open and closed comedones); therapeutic cleansing is complemented by the opening of pustular elements followed by anti-inflammatory care.
In order to understand the necessity of this procedure, consider the work of the sebaceous gland. The ducts of the sebaceous glands open directly onto the skin or into the mouth of the hair follicle. They reach their greatest value in the period from 18 to 35 years.
The sebaceous glands have a significant blood supply and rather complex nerve plexuses from the fibers of the autonomic nervous system. An average of up to 20 grams of sebum is produced per day. With normal functioning, sebum is secreted on the surface of the skin and distributed in an even layer, and mixing with sweat, forms a water-fat emulsion (hydrolipid mantle).
