Corneotherapy in cosmetology: new opportunities for doctors and patients
Improving the efficiency of procedures with the help of innovations

Corneotherapy (from the Latin Corneum - "horny", therapy - "treatment") is one of the modern trends in the science of skin health. This is a concept of skin care and treatment of skin diseases, according to which many pathological processes can be eliminated by normalizing the structure of the stratum corneum.
One of the most amazing properties of the skin is its ability to regenerate. The healing of wounds and skin damage can be compared to a grandiose restoration, where the result depends on many factors: the availability of the necessary materials, their quality, timely delivery, the qualifications of specialists, as well as the consistency of the processes.
According to modern scientific ideas, the stratum corneum, which was traditionally considered "dead", is not just a passive mechanical barrier. Maintaining the necessary moisture level in all skin layers depends on the condition of the epidermal layer.
The stratum corneum performs a barrier function due to its unique structure - it consists of cornified scales, which are a mechanical barrier (similar to bricks in a wall), and multi-layered lipid layers, which play the same role as the cement between the bricks.
