Skin regeneration: biology of the process and methods of its stimulation
Physiological capabilities of the skin and their practical application

The mechanisms of reparative regeneration are extremely complex, and the importance of this process is undeniable. Therefore, in the article, we decided to understand how the skin heals.
Many techniques in the field of cosmetology and aesthetic medicine injure the skin, breaking the continuity and integrity of the epidermal barrier. Of course, an adequate assessment of the initial condition of the patient's skin and proper post-procedural care can minimize the negative consequences of injuries, but practice shows that not all specialists pay attention to this fact.
Healing, or regeneration, of the skin is a complex process that occurs under the influence of various cellular components, components of the extracellular matrix and the cells themselves (keratinocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, leukocytes, and nerve cells). The regeneration phenomenon has several stages: formation of a fibrin clot, inflammation, cell proliferation, tissue remodeling (re-epithelialization), scarring.
