Cleansing the body
The body is a unified and self-regulating system that must be listened to. Let's figure out when the body signals the presence of toxins and how to deal with it.
Victoria Sazonova, pharmacist, visceral therapist, cosmetologist, Thai massage master, member of the Association of Chiropractors of Ukraine (Ukraine)
Substances that clog our body are of endogenous or exogenous origin. Endogenous substances enter the body from the outside (with food, air or through the skin), exogenous substances, in turn, are formed directly in the body (due to internal cell metabolism), including from waste products of parasites. Toxins accumulate in cells and intercellular space, as well as in fatty, connective and bone tissues.
As the amount of toxins increases, allergic reactions appear, sometimes an increase in body temperature is observed, and rhinitis, conjunctivitis and other lesions of the mucous membranes develop. At this stage, the condition of the skin, nails and hair noticeably deteriorates. If you do not cleanse the body of deposits of harmful substances, slagging leads to catastrophic consequences: internal organs and systems are affected, and oncology often develops.
Therefore, an important task for specialists (in this case we are talking exclusively about people with medical education) is to take a comprehensive and competent approach to the issue of cleansing the body if a client comes with a request to get rid of excess fat and cellulite. In my work, I have been using the scheme described in this article for many years. And although, of course, each patient requires an individual approach in any case, these are the components on which the whole process rests.
Turning on the body
The specialist’s task at the first stage of cleansing the body is deep and powerful lymphatic drainage and energetic cleansing of blocks that do not allow energy to flow normally. I use acupressure techniques such as shiatsu and Thai massage. The frequency of sessions is every other day, 5 times per course. For competent lymphatic drainage, you need to know the anatomical features of the lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system is an integral part of the vascular system and represents, as it were, an additional channel of the venous system, in close connection with which it develops and with which it has similar structural features (the presence of valves, the direction of lymph flow from tissues to the heart). Its main function is to conduct lymph from tissues into the venous bed (transport, resorption and drainage functions), as well as the formation of lymphoid elements (lymphopoiesis) involved in immunological reactions, and the neutralization of foreign particles, bacteria, etc. entering the body (barrier role). Malignant tumor cells (cancer) also spread through the lymphatic tract.
According to the noted functions, the lymphatic system includes:
- Pathways conducting lymph: lymphocapillary vessels, lymphatic (lymph-bearing, according to V.V. Kupriyanov) vessels, trunks and ducts;
- Places of lymphocyte development:
- bone marrow and thymus;
- lymphoid formations in the mucous membranes: (a) single lymph nodes, folliculi lymphatici solitarii; (b) collected in groups folliculi lymphatici aggregati; (c) formation of lymphoid tissue in the form of tonsils, tonsillae;
- accumulations of lymphoid tissue in the appendix;
- splenic pulp;
- lymph nodes, nodi lymphatici.
All these formations simultaneously perform a barrier role. The presence of lymph nodes distinguishes the lymphatic system from the venous system. Another difference from the latter is that venous capillaries communicate with arterial ones, while the lymphatic system is a system of tubes that is closed at one end (peripheral) and opens at the other end (central) into the venous bed.
The lymphatic system is anatomically composed of the following parts:
- The closed end of the lymphatic channel begins with a network of lymphocapillary vessels that penetrate the tissues of organs in the form of a lymphocapillary network.
- Lymphocapillary vessels pass into intraorgan plexuses of small lymphatic vessels.
- The latter leave the organs in the form of larger draining lymphatic vessels, interrupted along their further path by lymph nodes.
- Large lymphatic vessels flow into the lymphatic trunks and then into the main lymphatic ducts of the body - the right and thoracic lymphatic ducts, which flow into the large veins of the neck.
Lymphocapillary vessels perform the following functions:
- absorption, resorption from tissues of colloidal solutions of protein substances that are not absorbed into the blood capillaries;
- additional tissue drainage to the veins, that is, absorption of water and crystalloids dissolved in it;
- removal of foreign particles from tissues under pathological conditions, etc.
Accordingly, lymphocapillary vessels represent a system of endothelial tubes that penetrate almost all organs except the brain, spleen parenchyma, epithelial skin, cartilage, cornea, eye lens, placenta and pituitary gland.
The architecture of the initial lymphatic networks is different. The direction of the loops of the latter corresponds to the direction and position of the bundles of connective tissue, muscle fibers, glands and other structural elements of the organ.
We clean and control
At this stage, cleansing procedures are prescribed, carried out under the strict supervision of a specialist. You can control appointments and systematization of visits. During the cleansing process, I recommend coming every other day for visceral therapy of the abdomen and drinking castor oil with kefir 2-3 times a week (depending on the severity of the problem). The mixture is prepared as follows. For 1 kg of body weight, take 1 ml of castor oil, add low-fat kefir, stir. Heat in a water bath to body temperature or slightly higher (check on the wrist). Then we drink the finished mixture in one gulp and wash it down with a glass of warm kefir.
Contraindications to the use of castor oil. The oil should not be used for chronic constipation, acute intestinal inflammation, abdominal pain of unknown origin, uterine, intestinal bleeding, nephrosonephritis, chronic and acute glomerulonephritis, and poisoning with fat-soluble poisons. Pregnant and lactating women and children under 12 years of age should also not take castor oil orally.
Side effects. There is an opinion that castor oil sometimes causes abdominal pain, nausea, indigestion, enterocolitis, and possibly addiction.
The cleansing will begin in a few hours. After bowel movements, it is recommended to do a cleansing enema. It can be recommended, if there are no contraindications, to conduct several sessions of colon hydrotherapy.
Colon hydrotherapy should not be used in the following cases:
- intestinal bleeding, including hemorrhoids;
- severe diseases of the cardiovascular system;
- kidney and liver diseases;
- ulcerative colitis (ulcer in the large intestine);
- after surgery on the abdominal wall and intestines;
- intestinal obstruction;
- abdominal hernia;
- pregnancy;
- high blood pressure;
- any intestinal tumors;
- malignant tumors.
I'll give you a few cleansing options.
Nature has provided the possibility of independently ridding the body of toxins. Probably everyone has at least once experienced a state when the appetite completely disappears, you want to lie down, protecting yourself from the fuss. As a rule, at such moments the body needs an abundant supply of fluid, because it is water that helps flush out harmful substances. This means we help the body cleanse itself: you need to give up food and switch to water. If it’s hard, then we unload the diet to the maximum - we refuse heavy food in favor of juices, kefir, vegetables and fruits. Important rule: keep your diet! Cleansing the body associated with fasting and limited use of food is used carefully for diabetes mellitus and vegetative-vascular dystonia. In this case, you need to eat food often, in small portions, that is, you should not go completely hungry, you should have two main meals (fruits, vegetables, juices).
In our body, all organs work in close interconnection, so it is worth cleaning it consistently. Following the rules, at the first stage you need to pay attention to the intestines, stomach, lungs and liver. The second stage affects the blood, kidneys, blood vessels, lymph and skin. The third stage completes the work of self-cleaning: connective tissues and joints are freed from toxins.
In most cases, intestinal cleansing is carried out using an Esmarch mug and acidified water (1 tablespoon lemon juice per 2 liters of water). The procedure is performed according to the following scheme:
- 1st week – daily;
- 2nd week – every other day;
- 3rd week – after 2 days;
- 4th week – after 3 days;
- 5th week – only 1 time.
It is recommended to do 1-2 courses of enemas per year. You can do 3-4 sessions of colon hydrotherapy.
Decoctions of herbs help in cleansing the stomach (you can use chamomile, yarrow, nettle, etc.). Cleansing diets (eggplant, watermelon, apple, kefir, etc.) also have a good effect.
Liver cleansing is carried out by consuming oil in combination with sour juice (lemon, apple, cranberry). This procedure is complemented by warming the liver area with a heating pad. Oil and juice are consumed after a 3-day plant-based diet and a course of enemas. After the procedure, another 5 days are devoted to a vegetarian diet. As practice shows, it is advisable to repeat liver cleansing every 6 months. This procedure cannot be performed if there are stones in the liver.
Lung cleansing is carried out comprehensively, namely:
- use infusions and decoctions of herbs;
- rub the chest;
- do inhalations;
- pay attention to breathing exercises.
Kidney cleansing can be done using a vegetable cocktail consisting of 10 parts of freshly prepared carrot juice, 3 parts of beet juice and the same amount of cucumber juice. The cleansing liquid is drunk on an empty stomach in the morning, afternoon and evening (200–250 ml each). The course takes 2 weeks. After a week's break, cleaning can be repeated again. This entire period is devoted to a plant-based diet. Cleaning is contraindicated in the presence of kidney stones.
Fruit and herbal juice made from apples (preferably Antonovka) and nettle effectively cleanses the blood . The optimal proportion is 1:1. This drink is drunk 30 minutes before breakfast. The duration of the course is 20 days. After 10 days (to consolidate success), the course is repeated again.
To cleanse the lymph, it makes sense to use a mixture of lemon juice - 200 ml, grapefruit - 400 ml and orange - 400 ml (this cocktail is diluted with a liter of distilled water, which can be structured or melted water). The entire amount of the drink is drunk in the first half of the day. To enhance the effect, do an enema in the evening. The cleansing course lasts 2 days. It is carried out once a year.
Many remedies help cleanse joints and connective tissue . One of the most popular options is black radish juice. It is taken three times a day, 30 ml (full cleansing can be achieved after drinking the juice from 10 kg of radish - cleansing takes a long period). All this time you need to follow a diet that excludes confectionery, baked goods, fatty foods, alcohol and other harmful foods.
Working with skin and subcutaneous fat
At this stage, scrubbing is performed first, followed by a series of anti-cellulite massages. Anything that “drives” water, removes subcutaneous fat, opens pores, and increases venous and lymphatic outflow is suitable. I alternate between honey, Thai slim massage, hardware vacuum-roller, and ultrasound. Again, an individual approach to the client is always needed, taking into account indications and contraindications.
Contraindications for intensive anti-cellulite massage:
- inflammatory diseases of internal organs;
- oncological diseases;
- damage to the epidermis in the area of intended impact;
- progressive forms of thrombophlebitis;
- severe cardiovascular diseases;
- hypertension;
- acute viral diseases;
- pregnancy.
The full course includes 10–15 procedures. The duration of one body contouring procedure depends on the area of the treated area. One procedure for body contouring lasts about an hour.
Wraps
After the pores have opened and the body has warmed up, we select the type of wrap for the client, taking into account the characteristics of his body: hot, cold, algae, parafango, etc. The duration of the procedure depends on the type of wrap chosen. It is absolutely obvious that anti-cellulite, in particular, is contraindicated during pregnancy, the presence of abrasions and rashes on the skin, or after recent surgery.
Kidney and liver diseases, asthma, varicose veins, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases are not contraindications for cold anti-cellulite wrap.
Hot wrap is, of course, more effective than cold wrap, but it also has many more contraindications, such as:
- phlebeurysm;
- pregnancy;
- skin wounds, dermatitis;
- any tumors;
- kidney problems;
- cardiovascular diseases;
- gynecological diseases.
We complete the procedure by applying cream. The duration of the course is set differently for everyone: from 10 days to 3 months. Along the way, physical activity aimed at burning fat (“drying” muscles), running, fitness, swimming, and water aerobics, alternating with stretching, are recommended.
I wish you and your clients good luck, because a lot depends on their willpower and desire to be healthy and beautiful!
