Have you experienced poor quality permanent makeup?

When a client comes to you, whose eyebrows have already “ruined before you”, it is better to be fully equipped and correctly correct the consequences of the work of the previous “specialist”

The permanent makeup procedure has been popular for a long time, and many people have tried it. Not everyone has a successful experience and often the masters have to deal with the problems of blue eyebrows, pigment that has spread under the skin, and correct asymmetry. With clean, untouched tattooed skin, you have to work less and less.

Increasingly, masters have to deal with the correction of low-quality eyebrow PM, performed in different techniques - hair, shading, microblading. This article will focus on the main issues of microblading correction.

Microblading looks natural and natural only if the procedure is done by a professional. Unfortunately, there are still self-taught masters who, without sufficient experience and knowledge, begin to work with the face of the client, and even use cheap materials and low-quality equipment. If the owner of low-quality microblading came to you, you should be fully prepared and try to correct the consequences of the work of the previous “specialist”. Often such works can be corrected, but the master must have a certain level of practical skills and knowledge of some nuances.

So, your client has low-quality eyebrow microblading. What are the most common problems the master faces in this case?

A micropigmentation specialist can observe:

  • too thick hairs;
  • unnatural arrangement of hairs;
  • the color of the drawn hairs does not harmonize with the natural tone of the eyebrows and hair;
  • blots and smudges;
  • incorrectly matched to the oval of the face, the shape of the eyebrows;
  • bald spots;
  • blue eyebrows.

Correction methods

Correction methods are well known to masters, there are only three of them:

Correcting someone else's tattoo requires a lot of experience and skills. And often the expectations from customers are too high. In order to avoid the occurrence of negative reactions, you should say what will happen in the end and in how many sessions it will be possible to complete this or that procedure.

Let's try to figure out which ways to solve problems can be suitable in a particular case, and let's talk in more detail about each method.

Remover. A chemical agent that is injected into the skin with needles, similar to the tattoo procedure itself. This method works on all colors of pigments. During the procedure, unwanted pigment is removed, and not camouflaged or bleached. Yellow, white, red pigments are removed as easily as dark ones.

It is important to note that the removal of unwanted permanent makeup using a remover is not a medical or surgical procedure, but it is not easy and requires appropriate qualifications. The chemical removal of pigment requires great skill and experience. The master must be trained in this technique.

Remember that in one session you will not achieve a quality result. It is important to inform the client that removal with a remover (as well as with a laser) is a method that can last several sessions. Yes, you can try to extract the pigment in one session, but then skin recovery will take a very long time. Special care is recommended for good and fast healing. If you strictly follow the protocol of the procedure, then the risks of scarring will be minimized. The technique of working with some products (for example, Rejuvi remover) suggests both the presence of crusts and their absence.

Laser. With the help of a laser, only some colors can be removed and corrected, namely red, gray and black. If a client comes to you with red eyebrows, in this case it is better to use a laser as a color correction (a lens with a wavelength of 532 nm). As a rule, redness from the eyebrows can be removed in one procedure. If the eyebrows themselves have a beautiful shape, then the laser can easily cope with the reddish tint, leaving a grayish-brown color on the eyebrows. Since we are talking about microblading, the laser will be needed only as a last resort, if the work is very rough or we are talking about dark cold tones. In most cases, you can get by with a remover or color correction.

Color correction. There are laws of coloring, and every permanent makeup master should know them. Before undertaking color correction, the master needs to understand what shades this or that tone will neutralize. The color wheel will help you deal with this - a scheme in which opposite colors neutralize each other. But here it is important to carefully combine the colors so that, while blocking the blue of the eyebrows, they do not turn them orange.

In the microblading technique, it is color correction that is popular. If the hairs are thin and clearly drawn, and you just need to correct the tone, then just use a corrector or a mix of pigments of the desired shade. This is done with the same tool - a microblading pen. The corrector is driven in clearly along the hairs. Of course, this technique requires a high level of skill, but it is definitely worth it to learn it.

Every master should learn correction if there is a desire to be a real professional and make good money. Fortunately, learning how to correct low-quality permanent makeup is no more difficult than learning how to tattoo yourself. Of course, the result of the work always depends on the initial state, and this must be explained to the client. You can fix any problem, the main thing is to correctly determine the way to solve the problem. And in especially difficult cases, you will have to spend a lot of time - it is better to tell the client honestly about it right away.
