About the important character traits of the PM master - in our regular section "The ABC of the Beginning Master".
I - Image of the master
When discussing what the image, psychology and morality of a tattoo artist should be, one must take into account that the answer will be very multifaceted. On the part of the master himself, of course, it is necessary to do everything one hundred percent in order to interest the client, so much so as to win not only "eyes", i.e. his visual perception as well as the mind. Moreover, a client who sensibly assesses the situation will not only not change his mind about doing permanent makeup, because he will "cool" on the way home, but will also recommend you as a specialist to other acquaintances. And the number of customers is proportionally related to the arrival of experience, popularity, profit.
Most often, PM masters are chosen regardless of faces. In our time, the time of social networks and the Internet, it is much easier to look at various portfolios while sitting at home. After that, you can already decide which master and which salon you would like to go to. After all, first of all, the client is interested in talent, ability to the service that he will be provided with. Then the candidacy of the master himself is considered. In a good way, it should be a professional conducting sessions in a properly equipped salon, in compliance with all hygiene rules.
The image of the PM master today does not have clear requirements. But let us remind you that, first of all, permanent masters are people of art, creative people.
A very important role is played by the psychological and social adaptation of the master. And in some cases, it is their flexibility. It's good when a client comes with full knowledge of the result he wants to get. But it is much more exciting to create an individual drawing, starting from personal requirements. And here the most interesting begins, which can be divided into expectation and reality:
- Expectation. The client says she wants watercolor style makeup. The rest is up to you. The master, investing all his skills, creates a sketch. If there are any adjustments, they are made very quickly and soon the master goes to work, everyone is happy.
- Reality. The most difficult and longest thing is to find a common language with a person who does not know what he wants. Or knows, but cannot show, for whatever reason. This is where the flexibility of the master should manifest itself. After all, initially it could have been a watercolor, but after submitting a sketch, you need to transfer something, and make the colors brighter .. And after many, many hours spent, it turns out that you wanted something completely different.
Some moments, of course, are exaggerated, but believe me, they are taken from life. Huge respect and praise to those masters who, by nature or through their efforts, are able to win over a person to themselves, understand and satisfy his desires.
It would seem that everything you need is there: both talent and psychological savvy. But .. there is such a pitfall as physical fatigue. Yes, at first glance, what could be difficult? You sit for yourself, but work with a brush, periodically being distracted by a set of paint, changing a needle or disinfecting.
But this is just a side view. In fact, sitting almost motionless for the entire session (which can last up to an hour and a half), and sometimes even in an extremely uncomfortable position, while giving one hundred percent, not allowing the slightest trembling of the hand, is very, very difficult. Add to this eye fatigue due to constant concentration on small objects. The end result is a true professional.
Useful advice: no matter how tired you are and how much you don’t want to collapse on the sofa with your whole body, do not be too lazy to stretch it. It will surely thank you for a few tilts to the sides, twenty to thirty sit-ups in place, a couple of push-ups. Such a mini-charging will stretch stagnant muscles, disperse the blood.
Summing up, I would like to recall the sense of humor. Many people, no matter how paradoxical it may sound, go to a permanent makeup session in order to relax. Some of them are open, some are more closed. But if everything is approached with a bit of humor, even the most tense atmosphere can be translated into a light and unobtrusive one.
