Eyelid makeup: jewelry work of a permanent makeup master
Possibilities of permanent makeup
Jewelery in the work of the master when performing permanent makeup on the eyelids requires preliminary, at the stage of discussing the sketch, high accuracy and ultimate balance
With all the integrity of facial makeup, drawing the shape of an eyebrow in makeup textbooks usually occupies a separate chapter. Also, a permanent makeup master should be able to distinguish from the make-up around the eyes what can be unmistakably offered to a particular client for every day, and what will obviously make her look more expressive, and possibly correct some features of the shape, size, cut of the eyes.
With permanent makeup on the eyelids, they usually imitate the capabilities of an eyeliner and a cosmetic pencil to line the ciliary edge and simulate the density and length of eyelashes, as well as to correct the shape, size and features of the cut and location of the eyes. The visual effect of a larger eyeball, usually achieved by applying a white cosmetic pencil on the mucous membrane of the eyelids, is also solved using the technique of permanent makeup.
Jewelery in the work of the master when performing permanent make-up on the eyelids requires preliminary, at the stage of discussing the sketch, no less accuracy and balance, because permanent make-up involves periodic pigmentation of the skin throughout life according to a once selected form option. The moral responsibility of the permanent makeup master for the sketch agreed with the client should make him more responsible in warning the client about the possible consequences of excessive passion for the length and width of the permanent makeup lines on the eyelids. The master, as a make-up artist, is obliged to warn the client that it is undesirable to do such a variant of permanent make-up, which will look strange without a general make-up on the face. Also, the master should warn the client about possible changes in permanent makeup on the eyelids, which may occur after undergoing a blepharoplasty procedure or simply as a result of age-related skin changes on the eyelids and around the eyes, and strongly recommend not to use eyeliner with an overly long arrow. How much criticism is thrown at their own address by some clients who come for very difficult permanent makeup removal procedures and who did not listen to the master at one time and insisted on a long arrow, a wide eyeliner or connecting the lower eyeliner with an arrow on the upper eyelid.
Some restrictions on the possibility of performing permanent makeup on the eyelids are imposed by the undoubted fact that permanent makeup is a tattoo, and there are peculiarities in the perception of dyes by different areas of the skin around the eyes. An illustrative example is a rather typical case of a gross violation of the rules for performing upper eyelid makeup. No makeup artist will allow the execution of the eyeliner line and arrow, leading to a visual lowering of the outer corner of the eye. Ironically, such an aesthetic mistake most likely leads to the spreading of the dye and the formation of a shadow spot.
Not only arrows
I would like to pay special attention to the issue of imitation of shadows on the eyelids and blush on the cheeks. You can simply say that this is not the task of permanent makeup. But I would like to more reasonably protect the masters from such experiments. Performing imitation of shadows on the eyelids and blush on the cheeks with the help of traditional decorative cosmetics involves the use of a smooth shading technique. In this technique, elements of some tattoos on the body are very successfully performed. However, the skin layer on the face, into which the dye is injected, has several times more developed capillary network than on the body. For this and other reasons, the immune system in the face is better able to resist the placement of the dye in the skin. Masters know that it is not always easy to depict even small arrows on the eyelids symmetrically with a uniform distribution of the dye. It is practically impossible to objectively assess the symmetry of the tattoo of shadows and blush, including taking into account their much larger area. You can only, pretty tired, agree with the client after the next procedure that now it seems to be similar, for example, the shadows on the eyelids of the right and left eyes. But it's too early to calm down. The time of preservation of such arts can be very short. The immune system can very quickly break the conditional quality and symmetry achieved with such difficulty, because it is easier to cope with the task of removing the dye from the body as a foreign body under conditions when the volumetric saturation of the skin with the dye is small. Namely, due to this, the effect of smooth shading is achieved. As a result, a disappointed client will quite rightly consider herself deceived.
The right to quality
As it was said at the beginning of the article, permanent makeup is just makeup. But this does not mean that it is capable and intended to replace makeup in its entirety. This means that if people who are not gifted with the abilities of a makeup artist do it, then this is a disaster for our clients. In our country, they have gone too far in replicating pseudo-masters of permanent makeup. Evidence of this is the boom that came yesterday for the removal of marriage in permanent makeup. Our clients for permanent makeup removal and repair are victims of the money chase of many cosmetologists seeking to master the next specialty, which is relatively generously rewarded (6, 7). On the other hand, the reason for the emergence of a large number of scammers is the attractiveness of the trade component of permanent makeup. The sale of equipment and especially consumables is very attractive to all new companies, and for more successful sales, they, like pancakes, bake "masters" in courses where training in permanent makeup is frankly only imitated.
If you take the side of the consumer and try to defend his right to provide a quality service, you should agree that both artists should deal with art tattoos, and make-up artists should do permanent makeup. Almost all customer complaints about poor quality permanent makeup are due to a lack of understanding of this simple truth. Practice shows that permanent makeup is an art both in terms of its artistic component and in terms of a large number of quality secrets. And the secrets are learned both when learning from a conscientious trainer, and during the acquisition of skills in a large number of procedures performed.
