Color shading on the eyelids: from sketch to coloring

Multi-color shading of the eyelid (or art permanent makeup ) is one of the types of eye tattooing, with which you can carry out color-full PM eye procedures, including complex transitions and subtle nuances of shades.

For art-permanent makeup, it is recommended to use large bundles of needles: round bundles of 3, 5, 7, 9, 12 needles are suitable for dense shadow; flat bundles in one row Flat - for graphic make-up; Magnum needles in two rows - for a transparent shadow and smooth color care; tightly soldered small bundles of 3 or 5 needles are used to clearly draw the areas closest to the ciliary edge.

When shading, you can use any pigments for permanent make-up of eyebrows and eyelids, including skin tones and additional colors. By mixing them together, you can get an unlimited number of shades.

Makeup artists recommend choosing shadows that emphasize the natural color of the eyes. The colors of the future shading should be combined with the color of the iris. Blue eyes will be accentuated by the use of warm brown and taupe in the eyelash zone. For green eyes, use brown eyeliner, in addition, golden brown, warm taupe, dark purple, soft peach, soft purple shadows will look good. Brown eyes will be emphasized by rich brown, dark gray, brown-gray, lilac gamma of the peri-ciliary zone and golden brown, blue, green, light brownish-red, dark brown, lilac shades of shadows. For gray eyes, you can use dark gray, dark brown eyeliner and dark gray, cold brown, lilac shadows.

We suggest considering the option of color shading of the eyelids. Imagine that your client is a girl who has almond-shaped eyes and an emerald-colored iris. The sketch of the tattoo will consist of arrows, on which we will apply color accents. In the proposed version, we will use such conditional palette colors as “black”, “coffee”, “olive”.

To begin with, we discuss with the client the shape, color and length of the arrows. Since we are dealing with almond-shaped eyes and an open eyelid, you can create arrows and shading as fantasy allows. After discussion, we start drawing a sketch. A sketch of a multi-color shading of the eyelids is created in two stages: first we apply makeup - the way the client wants to see it in the final version, then we clearly draw the boundaries of the color transition. To draw a sketch, we will use the colors of the pencils, approximately corresponding to the expected colors of the pigments. After careful drawing, we perform local anesthesia, applying the agent under an occlusive dressing (film), the duration of action is 30-40 minutes. After this time, we remove the anesthetic with gentle blotting movements so as not to disturb the preliminary makeup sketch.

After that, we proceed directly to the procedure itself. First, we fix the sketch, that is, the length of the arrow and the inter-ciliary edge. We fix all this with the “black” pigment. Then we re-apply the pigment on the inter-eyelash zone, while slightly moving beyond the lines, adding shading on top. Then we change the tip on the pen and add the “coffee” pigment. Please note that in no case should different shades of pigments be mixed in one spout or tube. We apply the “coffee” pigment by shading over the “black” and display it to the height of the arrow, making about two such passes.
The next step is to add an olive tint. How do you know exactly how far to apply color shading? You just need to measure the width of the iris of the client's eye: it is at this distance that the shade of the olive pigment should be applied. After finishing work with the main tones, we fix the area of \u200b\u200bthe inter-ciliary edge and shading in black with a shade of “black”.

It is necessary to follow the rules for the length and volume of the feather, so as not to make the base of the feather (arrows) too long, and also carefully think about creating beautiful and compatible color transitions and color stretching. Shading can have a very light character - be gentle and transparent, conveying only light shades of mother-of-pearl, or it can be quite dense and saturated, having a decorative look. Here, color transitions should be thought out to the smallest detail.
