Wedding makeup in Bollywood style: breaking stereotypes

The purpose of wedding makeup is to highlight the individual beauty of the bride. Therefore, a certain commercial type of wedding makeup has already been established, which has clear boundaries and rules. Classic wedding makeup in 2019 is the absolute favorite of brides! But if you expand the boundaries of the classics a little, the range of choices for the client will become much larger. The artist will have the opportunity to show that any makeup will be appropriate and incredibly attractive at a wedding. As a result, we managed to combine two types: classic wedding makeup for brunettes and Indian makeup. I really love “naked” makeup. But, I admit, I was happy when brides began to accept different variations of wedding makeup. And it is makeup in the Bollywood style that best destroys the myth of an exclusively neutral image of the bride. If you keep everything else light, such makeup does not overload the image at all.

Of course, there are rules that should not be ignored - these are skin type and eyebrow shape. But if you clearly understand that the bride’s appearance can be limited to light correction, why apply makeup? A light tone, barely noticeable cheekbone highlighting, a transparent girlish blush and natural, light eyebrows - this is what turns classic Bollywood makeup into a truly gentle but bright wedding look. Makeup in Bollywood style has a special appeal! A sexy, languid, expressive look always gives the bride a special magnetism and looks gorgeous in photographs. One of the goals of Bollywood style makeup is to break the stereotype that dark eyes require a thick layer of foundation on the face. The main task of the master is to move away from rigid correction with a “heavy” tone and marker on the eyebrows. Who said that nude facial correction cannot be combined with dark eyes? I was inspired to create such active makeup for such a tender event by Indian and Arab girls with incredibly beautiful black eyes - it’s bright, juicy, tasty and bold! For me, face painting has become a lifesaver in wedding makeup. This is a useful, fast and easy tool in the hands of a makeup artist. There are many different opinions about face painting. I just want to remind someone about it, and open it for someone. And that's why:

• Face painting in steepling is easy. Therefore, I boldly add it to my makeup, both on its own and on top of other decorative products.
• In wedding eye makeup, face painting as a base reveals and saturates dry textures with color, making the eyes bright and expressive. Just what you need for a Bollywood style bride's makeup!
• The possibilities of face painting and its plasticity help to create makeup of any complexity: “naked” makeup, daytime in a blurred style, evening colored, black smoky and commercial wedding makeup in the Bollywood style.

But many masters do not use makeup, face painting and cream textures because of the myth about the harmful effects of these products on their brushes. In fact, brushes for face painting are the same as those for dry products. Therefore, if you, like me, prefer to work with taklon and natural bristles, you don’t have to worry about the safety of your tools. All difficult products are easily removed with brush cleaners. I use Express Brush Cleanser because I prefer to work with natural brushes, and the quality of the cleaner is important to me. I use a limited number of brushes because it saves a lot of time, and I use a cleaner to remove one product from them and quickly start working on another. Working with brides taught me to think ahead not only about the wedding makeup option step by step, but also about the speed of its implementation on the wedding day. In this case, another advantage of using face painting is the speed of makeup execution. And now a little secret: sometimes it doesn’t stick well to the moving eyelid. But when fixing, going into shading, it is not difficult. The balance of silky, glowing skin with a delicate blush, natural eyebrows and rich dark eye makeup based on face painting - this is the right wedding look in the Bollywood style. It is beautiful, elegant, moderately seductive and luxurious. Therefore, this makeup is in active demand among clients.
