Eyebrow tinting is a fairly popular procedure that many girls adore. If you decide to add it to your price list, first you should figure out how to properly dilute eyebrow dye.

Eyebrow tinting is becoming more and more popular every year, as the procedure provides a beautiful and lasting result for several weeks. Girls do not have to tint their eyebrows every day with pencils, shadows and other beauty products, which allows them to save time and get a perfectly formed shape, because, whatever one may say, eyebrows and makeup artists do the work more professionally and efficiently than clients.

If you are just starting to master the art of eyebrow tinting, we suggest starting with a question that worries many beginners: “What will be needed to perform the procedure and how to properly dilute eyebrow dye?”

What do you need to tint your eyebrows?

Before the procedure, prepare all supplies and instruments so that they are at hand. Pre-clean the work surface and treat it with an antiseptic. Don't forget to wash your hands and also sanitize them.

You will need:

  • plastic stick for applying the composition;
  • small mixing container;
  • oxidizer and paint.

Quite often, an oxidizing agent is sold complete with paint, and manufacturers advise using it for a high-quality result. But eyebrow artists sometimes ignore this rule, because it is much more convenient if you have reserves of an oxidizing agent in your arsenal, because coloring will not take place without it. Moreover, this way you have a chance to choose the highest quality product that will go well with different colors.

How to dilute eyebrow dye?

Eyebrow dyes have the same principle for preparing the composition, but be sure to read the instructions for use first, because the proportions of the oxidizer and coloring cream, the required exposure time and precautions may be different.

Step 1. Squeeze the required amount of coloring composition (0.5 - 1 cm depending on the brand) into a mixing container.

Step 2. If necessary, add the required amount of paint of a different shade.

Step 3 . Add the required amount of oxidizer, which is indicated in the instructions for the paint. Some brands suggest mixing paint and oxidizer one to one, others recommend adding just a couple of drops.

Step 4. Mix thoroughly until smooth.

The paint must be used immediately after preparation, as it cannot be stored.

What else is important to consider?

Check the expiration date of the products.

It is best to mix the composition in porcelain, earthenware or glass containers, but not in metal.

When mixing shades, you need to use paints from the same manufacturer or add natural dyes.

Pre-test the paint, for example, on the skin of the client’s hand, to avoid an allergic reaction.
