Game of diameters

This technique works great on bobs and other haircuts that feature long locks around the face. The meaning lies in the name itself: the curls are wound in order onto bobbins of different thicknesses. The most voluminous ones are curled from the face, then smaller ones, and then larger ones again.

Vertical technique

The vertical perm technique, or the American one, involves the technician placing the curlers perpendicular to the parting in the center of the head. On short hair, such a curl will be dense with “cool” curls.

Checkerboard or brickwork

Using this technique, the same volume of curls is achieved, which occurs due to the alternation method. The curl is carried out along the formed parting in the direction from the oval of the face. The technique gets its name from the placement of the curlers in a checkerboard pattern.
