How to highlight cheekbones with makeup?
And what products?
Chiseled cheekbones are the dream of many girls, and you can make it come true with just one product - a corrector (of course, only visually). How to properly emphasize cheekbones with makeup - we tell you in the material.
Which corrector should you choose?
The corrector is designed to correct the face, allowing you to draw more refined features and correct disharmony. With its help, you can highlight your cheekbones, make your forehead or nose smaller, longer or shorter, and visually correct the shape of your chin.
For beginner makeup artists, a dry concealer is more suitable - it is easy to apply and shade, and it is more difficult to overdo it in uncertain hands than with a cream one.
If you are a makeup guru, then feel free to perform cream correction. Moreover, as a rule, contouring with dry textures is performed during client makeup, and with cream products during filming or when creating stage makeup.
The next important point is the shade of the corrector. Choose a beauty product that is not too dark taupe to mimic natural shadows on the face. We immediately refuse red and brick correctors - they create the effect of dirt, not shadow.
Which brush should I use?
Manufacturers make separate brushes for facial correction. They are denser and stiffer than, for example, blush and powder brushes, because their task is to draw a line on the face, and not to apply the product with a soft haze.
A universal brush for correction is considered to be a voluminous brush with a flat cut and a diameter of 2-2.5 cm. But a flat brush with an oval cut (for client makeup) or a flat brush with a beveled cut (for professional photo and video shooting) is also excellent for this purpose.
How to emphasize cheekbones with a concealer?
Find the point on the face where the lower part of the cheekbone comes into contact with the upper jaw - this will become the lower border of the darkening line. From this point, move the brush upward, going under the entire cheekbone.
To make the darkening look like a real shadow when correcting the cheekbones, it is important to layer the corrector gradually. The strip should turn out soft and neat, smoothly tapering from the ear to the previously designated lower point. Blend the product slightly up and then down to create a harmonious look and remove noticeable edges.
And the final step, which will help highlight the cheekbones, is to apply highlighter to the most prominent point of the cheekbone and carefully shade it. This will help make your cheekbones even more sculpted, pronounced and voluminous.
