Even luxurious red lips and spectacular eyeliner will not be so attractive if the client’s complexion leaves much to be desired. In addition, correct proportions and harmony of all features make a face beautiful, so proper correction plays an important role.

Incorrectly selected base

The first is an incorrectly selected base or care product, as a result of which the skin looks porous or flaky.

If you see that your skin is very dry, foundation will only make the situation worse! In such a case, you should have a soft scrub with you, after which you should apply a moisturizer. Avoid very oily textures, as foundation does not adhere well to such products.

If possible, the day before makeup, ask the client what skin type he has. Then you will be able to select the necessary products and avoid mistakes.

Unsuitable shade of foundation

You've obviously noticed more than once how the skin tone on a client's face and neck can differ after applying makeup. And even if you tint your face and neck with the wrong shade, the girl’s hands will betray your mistake. Therefore, it is extremely important that the color of the foundation is either matching or slightly darker than the client’s skin tone, but in no case lighter! A whitish face rarely looks beautiful.

Non-professional sculpting

Often make-up artists go overboard with sculpting and even paint brides’ cheekbones as if for a photo shoot, although the light in the studio and on the street is very different. As a result, brown stripes appear on the girl’s face.

Wrong correction

Facial reshaping is a way to make a client more attractive, and it is important to perform it in accordance with the client's facial anatomy.

For example, you should not draw cheekbones on chubby cheeks, since it is obvious that they are not there. And no matter how hard you try, it will look like a failure.

Violation of the rules for combining textures

It is better to combine creamy textures with creamy ones, and dry ones with dry ones. That is, cream correction should be performed immediately after applying the tone without powdering, and at the end use powder (preferably colorless). Same with highlighter. Dry products should be applied on top of powder or on a dried foundation, and use liquid luminizer directly on the tone, without waiting for it to dry.
