Preparations for contouring: basic selection parameters
One of the most interesting areas of injectable cosmetology is injectable contouring (ICP). This is a rather complex area that requires serious training and thorough knowledge of facial anatomy from the cosmetologist.
The variety of ICP products available on the market today makes it difficult to choose and lack a clear understanding of which filler is needed for a particular purpose. In addition, the specifics of the hyaluronic acid (HA) gel production technology used for each specific product are very important, as it determines how the product will behave in the tissues.
The main parameters for choosing a drug for ICP:
- phase;
- HA concentration and stabilization;
- purification;
- rheological characteristics.
