The skin is the only organ that separates us, on the one hand, from the external environment, and on the other hand, our health, financial capabilities or status can be immediately assessed by the skin.

Skin is the first line of defense against microorganisms and physical damage; signals the condition of internal organs (for example, liver, gastrointestinal tract); talks about lifestyle. Therefore, in cosmetology and aesthetic medicine, special attention is paid to rejuvenating the skin of the face, neck, décolleté and hands. Looking great has become completely real and accessible today thanks to the continuously evolving era of the beauty industry. Scientific research opens up new possibilities and resources of the human body. This synthesis of medicine and cosmetology really surprises with its variety of possibilities and results obtained.

The path of development has been long and interesting, and this applies to any area of aesthetic medicine. For example, massage techniques, although they belong to conservative, activation methods of combating skin aging, having gone through the path of modernization and improvement, continue to be successfully used to this day, both in a single effect and in a comprehensive personalized approach. A wide range of soft massage techniques and stroking, drainage, kneading, half-kneading, squeezing and percussion techniques in combination with pinching and staccato, performed in different interpretations with the required intensity, have a positive effect on:

  • increased local immunity and trophism in the soft tissues of the face;

  • return of the muscle aspect - normotonus;

  • improvement of metabolism – skin aspect,

  • restoration of the vascular aspect - microcirculation and blood circulation.

At the same time, the patient always receives two important motivations for a repeat visit:

  1. sensation – tightening of the soft tissues of the face, freshness, vigor;

  2. the result is light and radiant skin, smoothing of wrinkles, face lifting.

I myself am the author of a unique facial massage technique - IntraOral anti-age face massage. Constant requests for training (Ukraine, Yugoslav and Baltic countries), grateful reviews from my students and patients only confirm the high effectiveness of various soft massage techniques and its successful application in various programs.

However, massages are far from the only way to rejuvenate. Today, many invasive methods are used to correct age-related changes in the skin of the face, neck and décolleté. A well-known approach to the treatment of soft tissue defects of the face is the method of skin tightening using fixing absorbable threads. Reinforcement of the face with threads is a highly effective procedure for the prevention and correction of age-related skin changes, which does not require surgical intervention and allows you to quickly rejuvenate the face without long-term rehabilitation, without causing the development of complications.

The closest and less traumatic analogue in terms of effectiveness of restoring the tone of the muscle corset and skin through invasive effects are regenerative techniques:

  • PRP therapy , blood plasma enriched with platelets - stimulation of regeneration,

  • MSCs (mesenchymal stem cells) – restoration of adaptive reserves of all layers of soft tissues of the face.

PRP therapy has been used for more than 30 years in medicine and has been successfully used in aesthetic medicine in our country for about 15 years.
