Couperose in men: diagnostic pitfalls and optimization of combination therapy
Features of the treatment of couperose in men

Dilated blood vessels on the face are a problem for all ages and genders. Occurring both in youth and adulthood, this cosmetic defect is doubly unpleasant for men. Let's look at the features of the treatment of couperose in men.
The blush that has appeared on the cheeks of a young girl with thin and transparent skin is admirable, while the red face of a young man hardly gives the impression of masculinity. By the way, a light and quick youthful blush is the first signal of a tendency to red veins in old age. And when after 25 years the vascular branches are already visible to the naked eye, men deprived of the opportunity to wear daily makeup find themselves at a disadvantage. A completely respectable gentleman can be suspected of a pernicious addiction to alcohol just because his face has acquired a bluish-red hue.
Symptoms and causes
Couperosis is a vascular disease of the skin, which is accompanied by the appearance of vascular "stars", a network of dilated capillaries. This is undoubtedly a problem of aesthetic nature, but it is not only about external unattractiveness. Vascular stars appear due to impaired blood circulation in the skin. It happens something like this. With normal blood supply to the skin, capillaries expand under the influence of temperature fluctuations, then quickly narrow. But if the walls of the vessels lose their elasticity due to negative external and internal factors, the stretching mechanism stops working. Therefore, the vessels remain in an expanded state. At first, temporary redness is noticeable, itching, burning or irritation is possible. After some time, this redness and other symptoms become permanent, and now the "stars" are visible through the skin. They are located mainly in the area of the wings of the nose, chin, cheeks, sometimes legs. They have a color from light red to bluish.
