Complex area: skin tightening in the neck area
The approach to the correction of the skin of the neck and décolletage should be complex and rational
What woman does not dream that not only her face is well-groomed, but also her neck, décolleté area, so that youth and beauty last for a long time - as long as it is possible.
Many patients come to us with such wishes for eternal youth. When coming to the appointment, most of them show the same magical movement: they stretch the skin of the cheeks with their hands to such an extent that we see a clear oval of the face, lifting of this area, without wrinkles and fat deposits. Patients insist that it should be only this way, and not otherwise. And objections that only plastic surgery can give such an effect are useless.
What correction methods can we offer in such cases, taking into account aging morphotypes, age changes and the financial component of this issue? How can we improve the quality of the skin in these delicate areas without resorting to major surgical interventions? Let's try to understand this issue. The most famous and beaten phrase of the French is as follows: "A woman's age can be determined by the condition of the skin of her hands, neck and cleavage." And this is true, because the first signs of aging in these areas begin quite early at the age of 30-35.
The skin in the area of the neck and décolleté is thin and delicate, support here is provided by the subcutaneous paired muscle of the neck - platysma, which also covers the lower third of the face. The platysma begins in the area below the collarbone, on the surface plate of the pectoral fascia, rises up and occupies the entire anterolateral area of the neck. A positive point is that the subcutaneous muscle protects the subcutaneous veins from being squeezed and facilitates blood circulation in this area. The negative is that it weaves into the corner of the mouth and pulls it down.
