Cellulite correction: why monomethods are ineffective
What should be taken into account when choosing the tactics of "orange peel" correction
In your professional activity, you have probably encountered different interpretations of such a concept as "cellulite", as well as many approaches to the problem of correcting this common aesthetic flaw. In the springtime, when your patients are more often trying to get rid of cellulite, let's turn to the opinion of an expert.
Cellulite is a commonly accepted term for an aesthetic defect localized in the thighs, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Externally, it is manifested by a change in the condition of the skin and the line of the silhouette. Histologically, cellulite is a type of lipodystrophy, therefore, in my opinion, it is appropriate to use the definition "age-related estrogen-dependent localized lipodystrophy", which reflects the main factors of its development.
The use of monomethodology in the treatment of the specified deficiency is hypothetically possible only in the case of the existence of a safe tool of influence on estrogenic mechanisms of damage to adipose tissue. Modern aesthetic medicine does not have similar methods. Therefore, medical measures should be aimed at minimizing the risk of developing pathology, as well as restoring the trophism of adipose tissue.
Since the risk factors of cellulite are diverse, the impact must be complex. Complex safe methods should be used to normalize blood circulation and lymph flow of adipose tissue, prevent fibrosis and sclerosis.
