Professional cosmetology uses the principles of evidence both in determining skin problems and in evaluating the effectiveness of performed procedures and care programs. Let's talk about the methods of diagnosing cellulite.

One of the popular and common methods of diagnosing cellulite is thermography. The principle of operation is the registration of infrared radiation after touching the sensor. This method is used both to study the microcirculation of the skin and the state of the subcutaneous fatty tissue.

The method is non-specific. Microcirculation of the skin depends on a number of external (weather conditions) and internal (diseases accompanied by microcirculation) factors that are not related to the manifestations of cellulite. Absolute values of skin temperature reflect individual features of skin thermoregulation. It is important to carry out measurements under the same conditions (temperature and humidity in the room, after 30 minutes of rest).
