A skin problem and not only: factors of rosacea
Diagnosis is an important step in the management of a patient with rosacea
In recent years, there has been an increase in the incidence of rosacea, the feature of which is the predominant localization of the process in the central part of the face, which negatively affects the psycho-emotional status of a person. Treatment of rosacea requires timely diagnosis, normalization of life, selection of individual external therapy and qualified tactics of selection of cosmetology procedures and home care preparations.
Rosacea (acne rosacea, gutta rosacea, teleangiectasias faciale, cuperose) is not just an aesthetic defect of the skin, but a chronic, recurring disease that has a polyetiological nature and is characterized by a stage course. In the structure of dermatological pathology in different regions of Ukraine, rosacea accounts for 5 to 12%. Clinically, it is manifested by primary hyperemia of the face, swollen papules, pustules, telangiectasias, as well as hyperplasia of sebaceous glands and connective tissue.
Early diagnosis, identification of patients with a tendency to rosacea, and the appointment of preventive measures are of great importance in the treatment of the disease. It is cosmetologists at the initial consultation who most often come across complaints of unstable or persistent hyperemia of the face, which appears after training, eating spicy food, drinking a glass of wine. The tandem of a cosmetologist and a dermatologist will help patients with rosacea to correct cosmetic defects and achieve a lasting therapeutic effect.
