We hide aesthetic defects of the skin: features of pigments for camouflage
Possibilities of permanent makeup
Camouflage of aesthetic defects with the help of micropigmentation is a painstaking work of jewelry. And each case here is unique, and in order to achieve the most realistic result, masters must use pigments specially designed for camouflage
Camouflage tones appeared in many lines of pigments - correctors designed to improve the appearance of problem areas of the skin. With their help, you can visually even out and correct uneven skin surface or pigmentation disorders. What do permanent makeup masters need to know about camouflage pigments and what specifics should be followed when working with them?
Properties of camouflage pigments
Camouflage pigments must have the following properties:
- be absolutely safe. It should be an environmentally friendly product based on organic pigments and additives;
- have minimal color loss;
- colors should not go into unwanted shades, i.e. be stable - then the master will not face the problem of "blue" eyebrows;
- have a good covering effect and ease of implementation; such pigments should be characterized by the optimal size of the coloring particles, which ensures uniform distribution in the skin;
- match the color of the skin surrounding the scar or spot that the master is working on;
- they should mix well with each other.
Color matching
Often, camouflage pigments do not require mixing, they are excellent for any skin. However, there are several types of skin and only one color may not be enough for a camouflage procedure. In this case, the masters advise using different pigments from the same line for camouflage. Since camouflage is a constant selection of nuances of skin tone, experts strongly recommend having a full set of paints on hand in order to choose the option individually for each patient.
To select the desired color, you can use the following algorithm: apply the pigment to the skin with a cotton swab, rubbing it. The pigment should become completely invisible - merge with the natural color of the skin. Then camouflage will give the desired result. It is difficult to say which of the pigments is suitable for masking one or another skin imperfection. In the case of camouflage, a test is required. Only after a week, you can correctly evaluate the selected color and complete the procedure.
To achieve high-quality camouflage, it is desirable to use pigments of soft colors and combine them with a special camouflage technique. Camouflage pigments should lose color to a minimum - up to 90% of the color should remain during healing. Lighter skin imperfections are much easier to mask, and darker, hyperpigmented scars are often difficult to mask. When working with such defects, experts advise starting with the outer contours and then moving to the central area, because during the procedure the skin is mechanically affected and becomes more pink, and the scar contour may not be visible from this. Thus, by following the recommendations of experienced specialists, you can avoid incorrect camouflage.
Particular attention should be paid to the dosage of the pigment. You should not immediately cover the entire surface of the scar, because the skin will change its color during the procedure, and it will be difficult to choose the perfect shade. There are also areas that do not need to be camouflaged at all during the first procedure. A smooth distribution over several procedures would be more correct.
