Permanent lip makeup: correcting the shape

Create an expressive contour, emphasizing the natural or desired shape of the lips, give the border a pleasant shade, eliminate the natural pallor or blueness, change the natural shape and size of the lips… All this is possible with the help of permanent makeup. Do not forget that permanent lip makeup is done for a long time and cannot be washed off in the evening using the usual cleansing cosmetics. Therefore, this issue should be approached with all seriousness!

If a client comes to you for the procedure, ready to entrust his lips to you as a master, do not forget that before the procedure you have to go through several preparatory stages.

1. Identification of contraindications. Be sure to find out from the client whether he suffers from diabetes, whether there is a tendency to form keloid scars - these are the phenomena that are strict contraindications for performing a permanent. It is recommended to send the client for a preliminary consultation with a doctor even if a fever on the lips (herpes) has recently been transferred or lips are constantly getting stuck and flaky. Only after consultation is it possible to carry out the procedure. Professionals advise to abandon the procedure during the period of reduced immunity, critical days, immediately before the trip to the resort.

Also, do not forget to provide the client with written information about the features of permanent makeup and its consequences, issue care recommendations, a copy of the procedure record card, and sign the client agreement.

2. Sketch selection. After carefully listening to the wishes and dreams regarding the shape of the "new" lips, before starting the procedure, it is important for the specialist to draw their sketch (outer contour) in accordance with their ideas as a specialist. If your client has decided to radically change the natural shape and size of the lips, but they, to put it mildly, are somewhat out of harmony with his image, the permanent makeup master as a professional (who in this case also acts as a makeup artist) should offer a reasonable option. Try not to go beyond the aesthetically acceptable limits when changing the shape and size of the lips. But in any case, without the approval of the sketch, do not start the procedure.

3. Choice of color solution. The basic principle at this stage, which must be followed, is that the client likes the color of the future permanent makeup, even when there is no decorative lipstick on the lips. From a professional point of view, it should not be bright (so as not to get bored), but more natural, natural. "Natural" lips can have light shades of brown, pink, scarlet, coral, terracotta, carrot and red. The master must have an unlimited palette of pigments. And for the choice of the required color, which will give the desired result on the skin, the master is solely responsible. It is not recommended to do permanent makeup with pigments that replace the dark tones of lipstick: brown, cherry, etc.

4. Choice and implementation of anesthesia. Perhaps the lips are the most sensitive area on the face. And the question of how painful the permanent makeup procedure is, of course, worries everyone. However, it will not be difficult for a qualified specialist to individually select the type of anesthesia and relieve the problem of pain.

5. The actual procedure. Do not forget that professional permanent makeup is performed by micropigmentation of the epidermis - the outer layer of the skin. It gives the highest quality result, provides quick skin recovery and the possibility of repeated procedures that maintain the quality of the permanent for many years. Strongly recommend that the client listen to your recommendations for the care of permanent lip makeup, as there is a risk of infection and complications, do not neglect the advice of a specialist in the prevention of herpetic rashes on the lips, even if nothing like this has ever happened before.
