Perfecting the technique of permanent makeup: hatching around the circle

How to develop the skills of shading in a circle?

Tattooing is performed not on a flat surface, but on the face with its volumes and curves. Sometimes, painting over the lips or the beginning of the eyebrow, the hand itself asks to make movements not straight, but rounded, with a bend. But they also need to be trained to automatism.

In one of the previous materials, we worked out the basics of permanent makeup - rectilinear shading . In this article, we will look at exercises that will help you work out strokes for painting over smooth rounded shapes of eyebrows, lips or eyelids.

Why does a permanent makeup master need to learn to hatch around the circle? Since the tattoo is performed not on a flat surface, but on the face with its volumes and curves, sometimes, painting over the lips or the beginning of the eyebrow, or moving from the tip of the eyebrow to the bend, the hand itself is asked to make movements not straight, but rounded, with a bend. But such a stroke also needs to be trained to automatism.

Exercise 2

A stroke "on a circle" must be performed according to all the criteria for a direct stroke . Strokes should be: parallel, tightly pressed against each other, the beginning and end of the stroke is thinner and lighter than the middle. The pencil must be torn off the sheet after each stroke. Notice the movement of the pencil: the pencil draws a full circle, but only touches the paper when it traces the left side of the circle (Figure 1).

The bend of the line can be both pronounced and smooth.

As in the exercise for working out a direct stroke, shade the entire length of the sheet with a stroke around the circle. You can also set yourself guides, helping points (“corridor” of points, within which you need to stroke).

It is necessary to shade at least 10 stripes in length with a stroke “around the circle”.

Criteria for the quality of the task:

  • smooth start and smooth exit from the line;
  • the emphasis of color (saturation) should fall in the middle of the stroke;
  • zigzags, dots are not allowed - when creating permanent makeup, such “seams” will create spots;
  • stroke size - 1.5-2 cm
