Important components: how to avoid failures during the permanent makeup procedure

What causes failures in the permanent makeup office?

Micropigmentation as a mechanical process takes, as a rule, only half the time spent on the procedure as a whole. What is the rest of the time spent on?

Due to the increase in demand for permanent makeup procedures, many novice masters, having bought a cheap device and a handful of needles of an unknown production, expect to earn "immediately and a lot." Their training is sometimes limited to a couple of hours spent observing the procedures carried out by a familiar master, and “practical” work becomes several lines “drawn” on the training mat, remotely resembling the contours of eyebrows or lips. There are many examples of the deplorable results of the work of such precocious masters. What is the cause of these failures?

Micropigmentation as a mechanical process takes, as a rule, only half the time spent on the procedure as a whole. What is the rest of the time spent on?

Pre-procedure conversation and agreement

Many masters and beauty salons, unfortunately, pay insufficient attention to a very important point - the pre-procedural consultation, during which information is exchanged between the master and the client and an agreement is drawn up between them. The client should receive answers to all his questions, information about the course of the procedure and possible complications. This information should be simple and understandable, regardless of the level of education of the client and his knowledge in the field of micropigmentation. A good specialist does not hide his diplomas and certificates confirming serious training; if necessary, he provides the client with the opportunity to view photographs of his work (before and after the procedures), reflecting the style of his work and skill level. The main purpose of the pre-procedure conversation is to find out the wishes of the client, help him with the choice, and offer the most suitable option for him. Practice shows that if the client trusts the master, he agrees with professional advice on correcting the shape and color of makeup. Before the procedure, it is necessary to draw up an agreement between the client and the master, which lists in writing the client's and chronic diseases, the results of tests for AIDS and hepatitis, and a history of allergies. The agreement must also indicate the address and name of the client, the name of the procedure and its cost, the numbers of the dyes used, describe the processes that will occur in the pigmentation zone after the procedure, and how the tattoo will look in a day, in 5 days, in 3-4 weeks .

In the absence of a written agreement, novice masters very often have problems with clients. Before and after photos, and even better - an additional intermediate photo of a sketch in a pencil will help to avoid possible troubles. An experienced and responsible master, as a rule, draws up an agreement, because, in this way, he insures himself and the client from trouble.

Sketch

Careful execution of a preliminary sketch of permanent makeup is very important. Insufficient mastery of the art of makeup is fraught with the creation of an asymmetric pattern, especially in the area of \u200b\u200bthe eyebrows and lips. It is possible to correct such errors, but it is better to do this before the procedure than after it. The ability to draw “by eye” is a good gift of nature for a permanent makeup master, but it is always necessary to check the accuracy of the lines of the drawing, as well as the optical symmetry of the client’s face. Properly performed permanent makeup, taking into account the type of face and the desires of the client, can successfully replace plastic surgery. For example, you can optically enlarge thin lips, visually align asymmetry, make small lips more expressive.

The greatest scope for imagination when creating a new image is the area of the eyebrows. The new shape of the eyebrows, modeled depending on the location of the eyes (close, normal or wide set), allows for a significant change in facial expression, which clients usually accept with delight. Unfortunately, often masters do not spend time on applying and adjusting the preliminary contour, rarely control the height of the initial and final points of the eyebrows, and perform the drawing of the eyebrow arch according to the template without taking into account the individuality of the client.

Pigment selection

This is the main problem of many masters who are just starting their professional activities. Properly chosen pigment does not cause such radical color transformations as "red" eyebrows and "blue" lips. Such phenomena are an unconditional sign of the master's lack of knowledge in coloring, the most complex area of permanent make-up. Often this is the result of adding black pigment to the base color: an inexperienced master tries to make the final tone darker in this way, hoping to complete the procedure faster. Determination of skin type and selection of the appropriate pigment should not be left to chance and intuition, so the master must have the necessary knowledge.

Individual skin tone is determined by the ratio of three colors in it: brown, yellow and red. It is necessary to take into account the features of the refraction of light on the skin and the perception of color by the human eye. To identify a client's skin type, stylists, make-up artists and colorists work with approximately 150 color boards. Special compact test kits have been developed for permanent makeup masters, which greatly facilitate the process of pigment selection.

Hygiene and disinfection

The hygienic aspect of the procedure is an integral part of high-quality permanent makeup. The following requirements apply:

• perform mandatory disinfection of all equipment, surfaces and objects at the workplace (especially those that the master touched with gloves during the procedure) with special preparations that exclude the possibility of contracting AIDS and hepatitis;

• use only disposable gloves and dispose of them immediately after the procedure;

• use disposable cups for pigments;

• use only disposable needles, dispose of them immediately after the procedure in containers designed for this purpose, in no case throw them into baskets and containers for household waste;

• apply disinfectant to hands before putting on gloves;

• open all sterile packed consumables in front of the client;

• cotton pads, sticks to dispose of immediately after their use;

• towels, bedspreads washable at 90°C;

• do not use floor carpets in the design of the cabinet;

• do not use living plants in the cabinet design (the earth is an ideal breeding ground for fungi and bacteria); a medical mask is required.

A neat and properly organized workplace speaks of the qualifications and style of work of the master, and disposes the client to trust. Often masters save on hygiene products: even at exhibitions and other presentation events they work without gloves or use disposable gloves several times, working with different clients, without thinking about the possible consequences. Some masters reuse disposable needles for permanent makeup correction. In this case, the progressive multiplication of bacteria in 3-4 weeks (the time from the first session to the correction) will certainly lead to infection. For experienced professionals, the health of the client is a priority, so they never save on hygiene products and know that their reputation depends on the outcome of the procedure.

The procedure of permanent make-up is a great opportunity to change the image, emphasize natural beauty, correct asymmetry. For pragmatists, this is an extra half an hour of daily sleep by saving time on everyday makeup and the ability to look great while playing sports, in the sauna, swimming pool, on the beach; this is the best way to emphasize your individuality for those who wear glasses. A permanent make-up procedure performed by a professional using the latest technologies, using high-quality equipment, certified pigments, is certainly quite expensive. But it makes sense for the client to think that for the next few years he will have to see the results of the procedure in the mirror every day. In no case should the choice of a competent master be left to chance; it is better to be guided by recommendations.
