Here are some reasons why your blonde hair turns yellow, plus expert tips on how to avoid it.

1. When the hairdresser did not lighten the hair enough. If this happens, then an intense background of lightening remains on the hair, which tends to appear after some time. That is, no matter how you paint it, it will appear. There is a golden rule: any dye or color is washed off, but the lightening background remains. And if, in case of under-lightened hair, the master hides his mistake with a shade, then over time the color nuance will be washed away and all the yellowness will come out.

However, it is not only the master that may have a problem. For many years, city residents have been complaining about poor environmental conditions, polluted air and water. And it is the environment that can cause yellowness in blonde hair.

2. Water pollution. Rust residues that settle on the hair and metal accumulation tend to change color. Due to this, not only does the hair color change and the blonde turns yellow, but the structure also suffers. Therefore, recommend that clients install filters at home and take every possible care of the quality of the water with which they wash their hair.

Example from practice. I have clients who live in private areas where the water is full of metals. What do they do to take care of the blonde? They have to order purified water and specifically wash their hair only with it.

Something you can't do without

Without home care, which must always be advised to clients. At home, to maintain pearlescent and cool blonde, you need to use special lines of cosmetics. Violet-blue pigments are found in many shampoos and masks; finding them is not a problem.

But I do not recommend using these products regularly. You can start using it when a warm shade appears on your hair and there is only a hint that the blonde is starting to turn yellow. Do not overdo it with such funds, because the situation may turn in the negative direction of accumulation. If the pigment accumulates in the hair, the pure shade of blonde will also become dirty.
