Who is the new creative director of makeup for Givenchy?
Let's get acquainted
Last summer, Nicolas Degenne left the post of creative director of the Givenchy beauty line after more than twenty years of work. Finally, the fashion house introduced the makeup artist who will take his place.
The position of creative director of makeup at the Givenchy fashion house is now occupied by the young British makeup artist Tom Walker. Now it is he who will manage the development of new products and cosmetic lines of the brand, as well as control the implementation of advertising campaigns and PR manifestations. He also becomes the official representative of the Givenchy beauty line.
Tom Walker said: “I am delighted to take on the responsibilities of Creative Director of Makeup at Givenchy. We share a common vision of femininity that is both beautiful and bold, as well as a common sense of elegance and individuality. “I look forward to contributing to the creative expression of the brand and the development of innovative makeup products, working closely with the Givenchy team and makeup artists around the world.”
Tom Walker has a lot of work in the beauty field and has already worked with such publications as Vogue, W Magazine, iD and AnOther, developing images for filming, including magazine covers. He has also collaborated with such famous photographers as Solve Sundsbo, Nick Knight and Paolo Roversi, and among his celebrity clients are Emma Watson, Mia Goth, Claire Foy, FKA Twigs and Rosalia.
The makeup artist is well known in the beauty industry for his creativity and unconventional approach to business, which is what most likely captivated the fashion house. Tom loves innovation in the field of makeup, so working on new products and the technological aspects of their development is what a master needs. In his works, he likes to use bold, bright shades, work in contrast and draw inspiration from the world of fashion and architecture, resulting in lively, relevant and effective makeup images.
