Of course, when creating an evening look, we start from three factors: clothes and accessories, hairstyle, makeup. And the most difficult thing is to create harmony between these components.
Fashion shows offer a variety of evening makeup options. And sometimes, looking at the picture, we think that this is the ideal option. But when we start designing this makeup for ourselves, a model or a client, it turns out that everything is not so simple.
What is the difficulty? The discrepancy between personal taste preferences, fashion trends and the appearance of the model/client.
Evening face makeup
The undisputed trend of evening makeup is perfect skin with a radiant effect. Of course, creating such an effect is a very complex and multi-stage process. Even if it is problematic, you can always choose a range of professional decorative cosmetics products that will allow you to get closer to the effect of ideal skin. Exactly the effect, because everything we apply creates the illusion of high-quality and smooth skin.
In order for all textures to lie smoothly, it is necessary to prepare the skin and do makeup remover. The next stage is one of the most important - applying a primer , which contains a large number of reflective particles. Actually, they are the secret of how the primer works.
The tone and texture options for evening makeup are varied. When going to an evening event, you can use a thicker one, but it does not create the effect of a mask on the skin. Of course, if your skin is not problematic, you should not resort to dense tones.
But if there are drawbacks, a combination of two textures is perfect: primer base (compact tone) and liquid tones. The combination of liquid and compact tones ideally hides skin problems, including textured ones.
Evening time requires artificial lighting. This must be taken into account when performing light and shadow correction, and you should apply cosmetics a little more intensely, as if you were doing daytime makeup. For example, you can darken the cheekbone area a little brighter by using compact tanning powders in brown, tan and beige tones.
When creating evening makeup for a stage or photo shoot, cheekbone correction can be performed with greasy or creamy correctors, since professional lighting in photo studios eats up the entire intensity of the correction.
In professional decorative cosmetics there are many means and ways to achieve the effect of skin radiance. Here are the main ones:
- crumbly shadows (mother of pearl) with shades of cold and warm tones;
- compact dry shadows;
- creamy shadows;
- baked shadows;
- bases for skin radiance, etc.
Of course, there are popular shades of skin glow products: nude with light pearlescent, peach, peach-pink, soft pink, golden and others. Shades are needed to give the skin freshness and highlight the color in makeup.
When it comes to glowing skin, that doesn't mean we have to apply products all over our face. There are certain areas of radiance where this effect looks natural and logical. Namely: the protruding part of the cheekbone, the brow ridges, the lower jaw bone, the inner corner of the eyelid, the back of the nose, the area above the upper lip.
If we want to get extra-radiance of the skin (this is a common phenomenon in fashion makeup), we can use all radiance zones. If we need a light effect, then the most common area is the protruding part of the cheekbone. In addition to beauty, this effect also carries a semantic load. For example, if we want to enhance the effect of lip volume, we can apply pearl over the upper lip in the form of a checkmark. This technique is not new, but very relevant in modern makeup.
In evening makeup, you need to take into account its intensity - it, of course, should be brighter. More often, the principle of accents remains classic: either on the eyes or on the lips. But sometimes, for example, in makeup for the stage, the accents can be placed equally.
When working with a client, you need to understand: evening makeup is not always intense makeup. The concept of intensity is different for every woman. And it is very important to determine this at the very beginning of work. If we talk about evening makeup for a photo shoot , then the boundaries are much wider, and there is an opportunity to experiment with colors and shapes.
Evening eye makeup
You can perform evening makeup using different techniques: shadow technique, makeup using a pencil, or both. It is important to understand the principle: if we use both pencil and shadow, the makeup will be brighter. For example, in evening makeup it is now important to use a shadow application technique on the upper eyelid, and a pencil technique on the lower eyelid. Moreover, the color of the pencil may differ from the selected color scheme on the upper eyelid.
When choosing evening makeup for yourself or a client, it is of great importance where exactly the person is going and what format of the evening. And of course, the technique for performing evening makeup should be chosen based on the anatomical structure of the face, and the color scheme based on the type of appearance.
Evening makeup can be either classic, natural colors, or contrasting. Bold color combinations are very popular now. Matte and satin shadows are more often combined, and if we talk about holiday makeup, you can use more mother-of-pearl and mica.
Arrows are always relevant, and especially in evening makeup. For evening makeup, not only classic black ones are suitable, but also multi-colored ones. And for festive evening makeup, glitter arrows are perfect.
Evening lip makeup
An excellent option for evening makeup is winged eyeliner and bright lipstick. To maintain your lip makeup throughout the evening, you can use ultra-long-lasting liquid lipstick. And we must not forget about the clear contour, it must be perfect.
And finally: durability is the main principle of such makeup, because no one knows how bright the evening will be!
