The most unusual fashion month ends in Paris this week, inspiring everyone involved in the world of fashion and beauty not to give up and believe in the best.

Like fashion weeks in New York , London and Milan , Paris Fashion Week is adapting to the global pandemic by offering a mix of traditional runway shows and digital presentations with extravagant videos.

The level of creativity of beauty industry masters is only growing. For example, a Parisian design duo came up with an ingenious way to decorate models' faces with gems without even touching them, while makeup artists at other shows focused their attention on one part of the face to limit contact time with each model.

To feel the French atmosphere of sophistication and be inspired by the creative approach of makeup artists at Paris Fashion Week SS 2021, we offer you in our selection of the best makeup looks.

Chanel

Black eyeshadow covered the eyelids of models at the Chanel show, providing a gothic complement to the classic design. Lucia Pica, global makeup and color designer for Chanel, blended the edges to give the stark color a dreamy softness. Neutral face and lip makeup completed the beauty look.

Chloé

Before models hit the streets of Paris for the Chloé show, makeup artist Pat McGrath added thick black shadow to the inner corners of the eyes and winged ponytails on the outer corners to complete the dramatic look. The makeup artist emphasized the lower eyelid using the same principle.

As usual, Pat did not limit herself to a single version of eye makeup, so she decorated the girls’ eyelids with eyeliners of different shapes and pearl pigments.

Dior

Backstage at the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week, makeup artist Peter Philips outlined girls' eyes with thick black lines along the upper and lower lids using Diorshow 24H Stylo liner in shade No. 091 Matte Black. Otherwise, the models’ makeup was simple and fresh, so that the eyes remained the main focus in this makeup look.

Paco Rabanne

Makeup for the Paco Rabanne show was also created by Pat McGrath, but this time she relied on the girls' perfect, radiant skin. The extravagant outfits of the French couturier were effectively complemented by the soft pink and strawberry shades of lipstick on the models’ lips.

Etam

For lingerie brand Etam's show at Paris Fashion Week SS 2021, the runway featured several different makeup looks from makeup artist Karim Rahman. The favorite was the disco-ball-like arcs of holographic shimmer surrounding the models' eyes. To implement the conceived idea, the makeup artist used MAC brand cosmetics.
