Makeup from the Dior F/W 2020 show: how to repeat it?

Paris Fashion Week ended a couple of days ago, but we still continue to look in detail at the luxurious makeup looks that top makeup artists worked on. The makeup from the Dior F/W 2020 show attracts special attention – we’ll look at it in more detail today.

Traditionally, the beauty look for the Dior show was developed by the brand’s creative director for makeup, Peter Philips. The makeup artist made the models' looks more expressive with the help of contrasting black arrows, while taking into account the individuality, style and appearance of each girl, as well as the shape of her eyes.

“The goal was to add intensity to the look by playing boldly with three different eyeliner styles created with black eyeliner and kajal,” said Peter Philips.

The makeup artist said that Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri wanted to create an intelligent look inspired by the 70s. Therefore, it was decided to abandon the classic elegant arrows in order to achieve the desired effect.

Peter emphasized that for this makeup it is very important to give the skin a fresh, healthy look. To achieve this, he used Dior Backstage Face & Body Primer and Backstage Face & Body Foundation. For additional coverage, the makeup artist dotted on Forever Skin Correct concealer.

The next step is shaping the eyebrows. Using the Diorshow Brow Styler, the makeup artist gave the eyebrows a more intense shade and filled in the voids without changing the shape.

To visually open up his eyes, Peter Philips curled his eyelashes and began to create the most important accent - winged eyelashes . To create them, he used Diorshow On Stage Liner in shade 091 and Diorshow Khôl in shade 009 Black.

And the final stage is lip makeup. The makeup guru pre-treated them with Lip Sugar Scrub, followed by Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in 001 Pink.
