Inspiration of the day: De Stijl collection by Mayte Garrote
About architecture
Inspiration is a specific human state. Anything can inspire a creator to be highly productive and unique in their work. For example, neoplasticism.
The famous De Stijl (English: The Style) movement, founded in 1917 in Leiden, also known as Neoplasticism (Netherlands), became a separate artistic movement. Followers of neoplasticism looked for general artistic principles in architecture, design, and fine arts. They believed that artistic purity could be achieved in everything.
The dogmatically proclaimed basic elements of painting were the right angle, horizontal and vertical lines and three colors - red, yellow and blue , to which black and white could be added as additional or background colors.
It was neoplasticism that inspired Mayte Garrote to create the De Stijl collection. Its basis is a commitment to the fusion of arts. How does this happen to hair? By combining shapes, textures and volumes with pantones of intensely vibrant colours. Hairstyles demonstrate an aesthetic fusion that we can find in an interior, wardrobe, or even the design of a simple chair.
