How to choose and apply eye shadow depending on your eye shape?
It is important to know

Eyeshadow is powerful. With their help you can achieve almost any result. How to choose and apply shadows correctly depending on the shape of your eyes - read the material!
How to apply shadows, taking into account the shape of the eyes?
In order to visually bring wide-set eyes closer together, you need to apply a darker eye shadow to the inner corner of the eye . If we are dealing with bulging eyes, dark shadow on the upper eyelid with a slight blend to the light inner corner of the eye will make them deeper. Dark brown and pink shadows should be used very carefully. If the eyelid is swollen and reddish, it is better to use dark green shadows. The best option is dark gray and black shadows.
Close-set eyes are widened by applying a lighter color inside the eyelid. White color makes the eyes too wide. They are mainly used in the evening, and it would be better if a professional did it. For daytime makeup, light beige shadows, ivory are suitable, you can choose shadows with mother-of-pearl.
For deep-set eyes, use light shadows. Apply them all over the upper eyelid and even under the eyes. Everyone knows that light colors always give the impression of an object approaching, while dark colors always give the impression of its indentation.
Small eyes are enlarged with light shadows. Makeup in soft tones - light green, soft blue, soft pink - will visually enlarge the eye. The shapes will be more blurred, and the eyes will inevitably appear larger. A good addition is black kajal and false eyelashes, preferably bunches.
It is believed that the larger the eyes, the better. Therefore, even if naturally expressive eyes are visually enlarged with the help of makeup, nothing bad will happen. If the eyes are disproportionate and cannot be enlarged, we work carefully with a dark color.
How to choose the color of the shadows?
In one case, the shadows are matched to the eye color. According to another classification - in contrast. For example, green eyes will be emphasized by pink and terracotta shades, blue-eyed people will benefit from the same terracotta, orange, yellowish, golden shades; the beauty of brown eyes is highlighted by pink and blue.
How to choose eyeshadow by texture?
Liquid shadows
Use liquid shadows and aqua cream only for professional work. The shading procedure takes place with the eyelid closed, so only a master makeup artist can do this. In addition, it takes skill to distribute liquid paints correctly. Non-professional cosmetics of this type are characterized by low durability. This means that the shadows will collect in the folds of the eyelid.
Bold shadows
The same goes for bold shadows. After all, if the former are liquid aqueous compositions, then fatty shadows include more fatty components. Natural fat-based shadows are very difficult to stretch. They leave characteristic stains. Eyeshadows with the addition of synthetic fat bases are more sticky. Accordingly, they roll off faster. They are suitable for aging makeup and dry skin, as they are easier to apply and look natural. Eyeshadows with a lot of synthetic fats, glycerin, etc. tend to be either very wet or very sticky and collect quickly. There are very bright, saturated colors - blue, green, pink...
It is better to use such shadows with sparkles when performing gloss makeup - a generous application of sparkles a la Moulin Rouge. The oily base allows you to open and close your eyes freely, the glitter does not cut the eyelid and visually closes the cracks where shadows accumulate. Although I don’t recommend either liquid or greasy shadows for everyday makeup.
Dry shadows
This is a universal remedy. The best option for both daytime and evening use. They can be applied with an applicator and brush in a wide variety of combinations. The easiest way is to take a wide blush brush and, having chosen a specific color, apply shadows over the entire upper eyelid in one motion.
Pressed shadows
This type of shadow is more concentrated. They can be applied with an eyeshadow brush , having first tried it on your hand (that is, remove excess), and then applied to the eyelid. Otherwise the technology is the same.
