Liquid eye shadow: how to choose and apply?
Getting to know the product
Liquid eye shadows are popular among many makeup artists due to their features and benefits. Why they are good, what to look for when choosing and how to apply them - we tell you in the material.
What are liquid eye shadows?
Manufacturers often call liquid eyeshadow tints . Such products are sold in tubes with an applicator or in narrow jars to make application as comfortable as possible.
As a rule, liquid shadows have a tint effect, so they are ideal for creating smoky makeup on the eyelids, soft color and natural eye makeup. This is why tints can be safely used even for morning or daytime makeup - it is extremely difficult to overdo it with them.
Tints with a metallic effect can even be used in tandem with bright lips. And although in this case the lips play the first violin, the eyes will not go unnoticed either.
How to choose eye makeup tint?
Liquid shadows can be matte, satin, chrome or metallic - choose the ones you need based on the finish.
Matte shadows can be called the most versatile and multifunctional. They are ideal for correcting the shape of the eyes and do not emphasize wrinkles, so they can be used by women of all ages.
Satin shadows in natural shades are great for light daytime makeup or for creating a soft accent on the eyes. But if you are faced with the task of correcting problem areas of the eyelids or radically correcting the shape of the eyes, such shadows will not be suitable.
Shadows with a metallic effect make the look open and literally radiant. As a rule, they are translucent - they give a bright shine, but without a rich shade.
With the help of chrome shadows, you can easily make the eyes the main accent of the client’s face. The product contains fragile shiny particles that give a luxurious shine.
Bright and colorful tints look very beautiful on dark and tanned skin, and bronze, golden and beige ones advantageously refresh the look of girls with fair skin.
How to apply liquid eyeshadow?
You can apply tints using your fingers or a brush. The applicator that comes with the product is also perfect for application if you use liquid shadows not for work, but for your own makeup.
Shading the product will not be difficult. It is important not to rub the shadow over the entire surface of the eyelid and blend it carefully to achieve a beautiful and soft effect. Stuff the shadow onto the eyelid up to the crease and use a large brush to blend it only along the edge.
Eye makeup with liquid shadows is difficult to ruin, as it can be easily corrected by removing excess with a cotton swab dipped in micellar water and blending again.
