Hairdresser and makeup artist of the studio @tomina_studio Veronica Belyanko , who often conducts master classes and works with clients and brides abroad, told us about the popular cool options for holiday styling.

Now the most popular are simple, stylish airy hairstyles. Nobody asks me for towers on my head or complex structures anymore. On holidays such as New Year or Christmas, all girls want to be dressed up, but today the trend is an image that looks as if they spent a little time on it - everything should be simple, but at the same time persistent and professional.

If we talk about styling, then this is half-tied or loose hair. Because often collected hairstyles add severity or pomp to the image, which is inappropriate on such a light holiday as the New Year.

But if the client wants a hairstyle made from collected hair, offer her a bun, a loop or a knot that will not attract undue attention, but will emphasize the advantages of her appearance. For me, as a hairdresser, the most important thing is not so much that the hairstyle is trendy, but that the client girl is beautiful in this image, and that the hairstyle and makeup focus primarily on her eyes and smile.

New Year is a holiday on which you can afford absolutely everything, based on the theme of the celebration, of course. And there are no restrictions at all in the New Year's image, unlike Christmas - a very warm, traditional family holiday. So, to celebrate Christmas, decorating the image with feathers or sparkles is inappropriate. For the New Year, I would support any of the client’s ideas, try to transform them into something relevant, based on her wishes. But for Christmas I would recommend soft curls, a neat little knot - something that will go with cozy clothes.

What to consider when choosing a hairstyle for a celebration? Of course, from the outfit. If you have chosen some bright, shiny outfit (silver or white, because these are the most popular colors for this New Year), then put the emphasis on it. Tie your hair into a bun or loop.

But if the dress is quite modest or neatly cut, I would recommend soft flowing waves on one side with hair combed behind the ear. I think it's both cute and sexy.

The third hairstyle that I really love for the New Year is a sleek high ponytail made of elongated shiny hair. It should be high, tight, and its base should be wrapped with a strand of hair. Preferably without volume on the crown, although this is acceptable. Perhaps with thin strands released around the ears and along the edge of the hairline for a slight negligence.
