The half-box is considered a very versatile classic men's haircut that suits clients with round, oval and square face shapes.
Half-boxing is a men's short haircut that provides the longest hair in the parietal zone (the length may vary, but generally does not exceed 8 cm), and in all other zones the hair length declines, gradually disappearing. A characteristic feature and peculiarity of the half-box is a gradual smooth transition from very short hair at the temples and on the back of the head to longer hair as it approaches the parietal zone. Yes, the haircut is universal, but if we talk about the structure, then this haircut is best suited for straight, thick hair.
This hairstyle used to be most often cut by athletes for reasons of convenience and practicality for sports.
Like other haircuts, half-box has a number of recommendations regarding the selection of haircuts for clients. So, presumably, half-boxing is not recommended for clients with a long, oblong face and a thin frame. Also, the half-box is not quite suitable for curly hair.
Classic half-box
In this form, the length of the hair in the crown area is generally 6 cm, cut at the bottom by 2.5 cm. The transition line is 2-3 cm. It gives the client a slightly sharp, menacing look.
Half-box with bangs
The scheme is the same, but in the parietal area the hair is left a little longer to form bangs. The bangs themselves can be oblique, even, or profiled.
Poluboks military
The hair in the crown area is cut to half a centimeter, the back of the head and temples are completely shaved. The hairstyle does not need styling, since the hair here is very short. But if the client is used to very short hair lengths, frequent correction will be needed.
Half-box with parting
Everything is clear here. There is a parting on one side. The upper part transitions to the lower part more smoothly than in the classics.
Long half-box
The scheme is the same, but the length in the crown area can be longer than in the classic version, that is, longer than 6 cm. But with the same smooth transition to shorter hair.
