General meeting of the Ukrainian section of elite hairdressers of the World Organization Intercoiffure Mondial

At the meeting, the results of the work in 2020 were summed up and plans for the section’s activities in 2021 were outlined. The meeting was held in an inviting atmosphere - productive and with the traditional ritual of lighting candles that accompanies all Intercoiffure general meetings around the world.

An important part of the meeting was the entry into membership of new candidates for the Intercoiffure Mondial organization: Natalia Bidyak, owner of the Vivatcenter Academy of Hairdressing (Chernivtsi) and Alexey Baluev, co-owner of Long&Short Beauty Salon (Kiev).

Natasha Balabanova, president of the Intercoiffure Ukraine section, spoke about the work done in 2020 and shared news about the activities of the section members:

- victory at the TrendBlast competition : the Ukrainian team of the Uncras Studio salon, namely participant Taisiya Romanenko, won in the Punks not Dead nomination;

- a new issue of the magazine, Intercoiffure Mondial “Magazine” has been released with publications from ICD Ukraine members;

- TrendBlast event has been postponed to September 12 in Paris;

- the design of the Intercoiffure Mondial website has been updated.

Also during the meeting, section members talked about changes and business transformation in the new realities caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as creative projects, such as the shooting of 2021 Trends in May and a social project that is designed to support the greening of the planet and present the uniqueness of the main forms through hairdressing vision of stylists in the National Botanical Park. One of the main goals for 2021 is to show the work and activity of the entire section as a whole and each of its participants individually, as well as to expand the range of involved media and intensify work on the creation and placement of collections, article materials, and interviews. Thus, in 2021, cooperation with the Estet Group of Companies continues, and PRO Hair&Makeup editor Victoria Galiy will regularly update you with Intercoiffure Mondial news on the site platform.

The final result of the meeting was the solemn presentation of commemorative statuettes on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the ICD Ukraine section (at least three years of membership), diplomas (2 years of active activity in the section) and Intercoiffure honorary badges to the newly elected members of 2021.

The meeting ended with a joint festive dinner, where, in an informal setting, members of the section shared personal professional stories and their rise to a high level in the profession.

The next General Meeting of Intercoiffure Ukraine is scheduled for November 2021.
