Five main causes of hair loss
Let's look at it in the article
A mane of unruly curls or a waterfall of perfect shiny strands is the dream of millions of girls and the object of worship of men. But what to do if hair falls out, driving its owners to despair?

Let's start with the fact that daily loss of up to one hundred hairs is absolutely normal. Old bulbs die, ending their life cycle. In their place, new follicles form and new hair grows. But if you notice that you are losing a large amount of hair every day, this is a reason to think about the reasons. Let's look at five causes of hair loss, as well as the treatment methods that I use in my practice.
Problematic scalp. Seborrhea
Seborrhea is one of the most common causes of deterioration in hair quality. There are four types of this unpleasant disease: oily, thick oily, dry oily and dry. With oily seborrhea, there is an increased outflow of sebum. This means that the sebaceous glands are overactive, as a result of which the hair becomes oily very quickly. In the thick form of oily seborrhea, keratinized skin scales mix with sebum and harden on the stratum corneum in the form of layers (crusts). This is how oily dandruff forms.
As a result, the scalp thickens and the hair becomes much stiffer, especially at the roots. With the liquid form of oily seborrhea, the effect of a wet head occurs - literally within a few hours the hair sticks together in strands, and dandruff appears. But unlike the previous form, it peels off more easily. Dry seborrhea occurs when there is insufficient sebum synthesis, that is, there are practically no lipids on the stratum corneum.
At the same time, the sebaceous glands continue to produce sebaceous secretion, as usual, but it becomes thicker, which makes it much more difficult to remove it from the ducts of the sebaceous glands. The skin becomes dry, an unpleasant feeling of tightness appears, and dry dandruff forms. Unlike oily, it crumbles easily. I start treatment of any type of seborrhea with ORising product for deep cleansing of hair and scalp on a natural basis.
It is recommended for all skin types, mainly for seborrhea, hyperhidrosis, dandruff and alopecia (baldness). The composition of this drug dissolves keratin, deeply cleanses and disinfects the epithelium and follicles. It also opens the pores, which helps in the future to penetrate deeper into the layers of the epithelium and make the treatment more effective. Then I continue therapy depending on the type of seborrhea.
To eliminate oily seborrhea, I use ORising phytoessential shampoo for oily hair. It contains thyme and lemon balm extracts, which have a stabilizing effect on oily scalp. I apply it to damp hair with massage movements, paying special attention to the root zone and scalp. I wash it off and repeat the procedure.
The next stage is hydration. I recommend Calm ORising lotion for this. It moisturizes the scalp without clogging pores and balances its environmental flora. The lotion contains gotu kola plant extract. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries and is still renowned for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The preparation also contains stem cells from common lilac.
They have sebum-regulating properties and eliminate inflammation. If I have dry dandruff, I use shampoo for sensitive scalp La Biosthetique Methode Sensitive Shampooing Lipokerine E. It gently cleanses the skin and hair thanks to a set of natural ingredients, regulates the production of sebaceous glands, restores lipid balance and stimulates metabolic processes in the epidermis and follicles. I carry out the moisturizing stage using the soothing mask Kerastase Specifique Masque Hydra-Apaisant. This product eliminates itching, dryness and tightness and returns a feeling of comfort to sensitive scalp.
The components of the mask intensively moisturize the epidermis. To get rid of wet dandruff, I start with La Biosthetique Methode Normalisante Shampooing Hydrotoxa. It contains active lipoamic acids, a polysaccharide complex and licorice root extract. Using its natural composition, the shampoo delicately cleanses the scalp and provides it with proper care. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect and suppresses excess secretion of the sebaceous glands.
Next, I use Lotion Hydrotoxa La Biosthetique - a shampoo for scalps with excessive sweating. The drug neutralizes aggressive components of sweat and eliminates their negative effects on the scalp and hair growth. Herbal extracts have a strengthening, disinfecting and astringent effect. The cells that form the follicles receive energy, and the overall condition of the hair improves.
Taking antibiotics, undergoing anesthesia
Hair loss is often caused by the toxic effects of medications. In this case, I recommend the following. Firstly, you need to remove toxins from the body, for which various types of sorbents are used. To do this as effectively and safely as possible, I advise you to consult your doctor. Next, you need to ensure proper care
Nisim Fast Shampoo is ideal for this. Its therapeutic formula is enriched with extracts of natural herbs, valuable vitamins and amino acids. The shampoo stimulates hair growth, helps restore its structure and prevents split ends. ORising Hair Loss System ampoules promote better penetration of oxygen into the skin surface of the head, eliminate its thickening caused by dead cells, and restore the balance of the hydrolipid layer. The properties of the ampoules are based on the synergistic interaction of the active components: Capsicum (hot red pepper) stimulates blood circulation, and ginseng nourishes and strengthens the follicles and hair shaft. The drug also contains glycoproteins and hydroglycosaminoglycans.
It is very important not to delay solving the problem of hair loss and contact specialists, and not hope that everything will go away over time. This symptom may be an indicator of serious health problems.
Hormonal changes
The increased effect of male sex hormones on the follicles is the cause of androgenetic alopecia. This phenomenon can be observed both with elevated levels of hormones in the blood and with normal levels. Why is this happening? An enzyme works in the skin that activates dormant hormones.
The enzyme 5-alpha reductase plays a key role in the conversion of male sex hormones into an active form, their presence and activity are determined by heredity. With androgenetic alopecia, diffuse hair loss is observed, mainly in the frontoparietal region. In women, even with severe disease, hair remains on the entire surface of the head. But in the frontoparietal zone their density is much less.
The main treatment that I, as a hairdresser, can prescribe is the external use of products that block the effect of sex hormones on hair follicles or reduce the activity of the 5-alpha reductase enzyme. Such drugs act exclusively at the site of application, are not absorbed into the blood and do not change hormonal levels. The positive effect is usually noticeable after a month of treatment.
I also recommend the bio-essence “5-ALFORising Lotion”. The drug contains common lilac extract and vitamin B6. When interacting with each other, these two components effectively inhibit the action of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. The drug minoxidil affects the smooth muscle of blood vessels. When applied to the scalp, it stimulates hair regrowth in patients with male pattern baldness. The essence of minoxidil is that it increases blood circulation in the scalp. This improves the supply of hair follicles with nutrients. For women, the drug is used only in concentrations of 2% or lower.
Vitamin deficiency
The information is for informational purposes only. Before using medications, consult your doctor!
Often the cause of hair loss is banal vitamin deficiency. To solve this problem I recommend:
• Biotin course (10,000 mcg + keratin). Nails and hair are composed primarily of the protein material keratin. Biotin plays a primary role in creating the basis of the keratin substance. Thus, these two drugs restore the hair structure. And, as studies have shown, biotin helps eliminate fine wrinkles, flaking, seborrhea of the scalp, premature hair loss and brittle hair.
• Iron. Hair follicle cells may be especially sensitive to low iron levels in the blood. This trace element is hematopoietic. The connection between iron deficiency and hair loss was described in their works by Hard S., Rushton DH, Kantor J. A large number of patients participated in their studies. To treat iron deficiency, 2- and 3-valent preparations containing iron are used.
• Sedatives. It's no secret that stress is a stimulant for many diseases, and alopecia is no exception. When the nervous system is overstrained, an unconditioned reflex is triggered - the muscle that lifts the hair (Musculus arrector pili) contracts sharply. This phenomenon is caused by the release of large amounts of adrenaline and cortisol into the blood. People call this reaction “hair standing on end.” This expression is perceived figuratively, but in fact it is real.
A sharp contraction of the muscle slows down hair growth and causes damage to the hair follicle. The hair dies and with the slightest mechanical impact (for example, combing) falls out, both in individual areas and throughout the entire scalp. In particularly difficult cases, total baldness is possible.
Sedatives are a chemically heterogeneous group of medicinal substances of plant or synthetic origin that calm or reduce emotional stress without a hypnotic effect.
From all of the above, I want to conclude that it is very important not to delay solving the problem and contact specialists, and not hope that everything will go away over time. Hair loss can be an indicator of serious health problems. Take care of yourself and your hair!
