Bright trends: color ideas from Becky Sutherland
Rainbow colors
In February of this year, we told you about a new color trend called The Slither, which was created by Becky Sutherland, owner of Pink Lemon Hair salon and OSMO brand ambassador.
In this article, we asked Becky herself to tell us about her favorite color dyes, as well as what the most common mistake artists make when creating bright colors.
Becky 's Instagram page is filled with incredible bright colors, perfect blonde and different colored stretch marks. We asked Becky Sutherland to highlight her favorite colors among her works, tell us about them, and also highlight the most popular mistake of artists who create bright colors.

“From my practice, I can say that the most popular mistake that artists make when creating color dyes is a dirty gradient. The key to a good gradient is saturation. To achieve the perfect gradient and good saturation, you need to take small strands of hair and dye them in bright colors. If you don't work this way, you might miss a few small strands, which will lead to uneven color and a sloppy gradient.
My favorite works
First option . A combination of orange and yellow. Yellow is my favorite color. It stands out from the crowd and the color brings happiness, making people smile.
The second, third and fourth option is rainbow coloring. By creating a rainbow, I can play with each color in the salon and create something unique depending on how I create a gradient or juxtapose different tones and undertones. I get a lot of creative freedom when a client chooses a rainbow color scheme because I get to do what I like!
And the fifth one is my own creation – Slither. I really love it when clients ask for this. I created this idea simply by working and playing with colors when I came up with the idea of a small piece of hair that would stand out from the overall color. This type of hair color works great for a client who loves bright colors, but can also be a good choice for clients who want to add a little something special to their hair.
