The light balayage technique is for all times, says Oway technologist Maryana Mavdryk.

The technologist in this video talked about the intricacies of the technique, which emphasizes naturalness and is always relevant. An important point before dyeing: properly prepare your hair, comb it well and properly divide it into zones. Accuracy of technique is very important, otherwise you may end up with unwanted pigment or an incorrect gradient.

Briefly about technology

On the occipital area we separate small strands of 2 cm in the form of a triangle. We make a backcomb on each of them, and then pull it under the root. This will be a technically correct combing; if you do it differently, it will be difficult to comb your hair. Next we work with lightening cream and foil. The foil should be placed under the strand very close to the roots.

In the middle of the strand we apply the product using a blending method for a good transition. Then wrap the strand in foil.

In such coloring, knowledge of color is very important. Just in case, let's remember:

-to neutralize the yellow pigment we use violet;

- for copper – blue pigment;

- for red – green;

If the hair structure is porous, you need to be careful with cold pigments. Since such pigments have the property of falling into the hair structure and clogging it with a dirty shade.

Care Tips: It is important to advise clients to select shampoo based on their scalp type, not their hair type. But everything that concerns the canvas is conditioners, masks and oils.

After leaving the product, which we applied and wrapped in foil, it must be washed off and neutralized with shampoo.

Next, we tint the strands and be sure to monitor the shade that appears on the hair. Perhaps the strands we applied earlier will need to be washed off sooner.

After toning, apply the mask. It seals the cuticle and soothes the hair after coloring.
