Winter skin care: useful habits
In winter, not only natural factors worsen the condition of our skin, but also our own actions
In the previous publication we said that winter is a difficult period for the skin of the whole body, especially the skin of the face and hands. During this period it has to show its barrier properties, to cope with the onslaught of irritating factors and outright aggression of the external environment. An important difference of care in winter is a special emphasis on the elimination of inflammatory processes.
We have considered nuances of skin care depending on its type. But in the life of people, as well as in the life of their skin, very similar trends can be traced in winter. So it's also worth paying attention to these processes and preparing clients for winter.
Changes in diet
It is worth remembering that winter is both a time of depression and holidays, so the diet becomes rich in more caloric food, there are a lot of sweets, as well as alcoholic beverages. Those who have a direct connection between the appearance of inflammatory elements and diet, it is worthwhile to give preparations in advance, buying inflammatory elements at home. It is also worth recommending more frequent use of anti-inflammatory masks, antioxidant preparations, mild home peels. For those who do not have a reaction to sweets, but are concerned about age-related changes, it will be relevant to add preparations that prevent the formation or reduce glycation products in the skin - these include the isoflavone pueparin from the extract of Kudzu (Puerariae Radiõ) or silk tree bark extract (Albizia julibrissin).
