We met spring together: the DERMA congress took place in Kyiv

On March 1, 2023, the Mercure Kyiv Congress conference hall hosted the well-known, but at the same time renewed congress dedicated to skin quality - DERMA! Traditionally, the scientific program of the congress was headed by Anna Funikova, dermatovenerologist, cosmetologist, founder of the Medical Community clinic network and the UMAA academy (Ukraine).

This year, the congress gathered specialists in the fields of cosmetology and dermatology for the fifth time. This shows that despite the active phase of the war, blackout, air raids, the need to meet and talk about the methods responsible for the quality of the skin has not disappeared.

More than 420 listeners were present at the congress site. In addition, almost 100 participants from all over Ukraine and beyond joined online. The work of the congress took place in parallel in two halls: the symposium Aesthetic Dermatology and the symposium Medical Dermatology.

The program, which consisted of five sessions, included Forum on chemical skin reconstruction. Peelings: scientific basis, Forum of evidence-based pharmacy. Clinical cosmetology, Forum of clinical dermatology, Forum on the use of hardware technologies for the treatment of dermatopathologies, Forum on aesthetic reconstruction of the face - 40 reports were made.

Topics that help cosmetologists and dermatologists in daily practice were considered, in particular:
Skin condition: how to diagnose a potential problem in time?
Individual approach: how to draw up exactly the protocol that will be optimal for our patient?
Skin relief: what's new in work protocols?
Devices and preparations for improving the quality of the skin: how to combine? Home care: what is important and new to recommend to patients?
Complexity as the main requirement of our time: how to do the most in one visit and not harm?
Remote work with a patient: when can we help a patient from a distance, and when should we hand it over to a colleague?

The organizers of the congress - the ESTET group of companies and the Ukrainian Medical Aesthetic Academy (UMAA) - express their gratitude to the partners and participants of Derma-2023 and look forward to the next meeting.
