Stress and botulinum toxin
A common request for botulinum toxin injections
Stress is a story that has gripped all of us since February 24th. Against the background of stress, many diseases arise, including dermatological ones. There is a certain hormonal response that begins with the acute phase of stress and becomes chronic. This is one of the reasons why there are so many patients now requesting botulinum toxin injections.

The proposed article is an adaptation of the report read on October 7, 2022 at the online conference «Aesthetic Medicine and War» organized by the Estet Group of Companies. The conference was held within the framework of the project «Stress Defense. Ukrainian Recipe» and in support of the first offline congress in Ukraine in modern times May Aesthetic Meeting (Lviv, December 2022). The full report can be viewed on the PRO Cosmetology TV channel.
Many patients now come to the beauty parlor to enjoy the procedure. They love to lie down, so that we stroke them, chat. Patients already know that an injection of botulinum toxin will give not only the desired result in the mirror, but also relief from depression, satisfaction and, as I like to say, calmness. But if we ask them a direct question: «Do you аre you stressed now?», then they will most likely say: «Well, like everyone else.» So I ask them how they sleep, if they have trouble falling asleep, if they wake up early, etc. Plus, you definitely need to look at the patient's emotional mask, because it will clearly convey whether he has a depressive moment and how much.
