Hand rejuvenation: a review of techniques
The method of redermalization in solving the problem
An extremely urgent problem in modern aesthetic medicine is the problem of aging of the skin of the hands. Hands, like the face, neck and décolleté, are exposed parts of the body. Therefore, rejuvenating procedures will be incomplete if hands with pronounced dryness and atrophy of the skin, involution of subcutaneous fat and a large number of pigment spots are left unattended.
It is on the skin of the hands that the results of photoaging and chronoaging are most clearly manifested. In the epidermis, all layers are thinned, as a result of the degeneration of melanocytes, dyschromia develops - areas of hypo- and hyperpigmentation, lentigo, actinic and seborrheic keratosis are formed.
Elastosis is observed in the dermis as a result of quantitative and qualitative changes in collagen and elastin. Deficiency of glycosaminoglycans (first of all, hyaluronic acid) is manifested by pronounced dryness: the skin, taken in a fold, does not straighten immediately, peels. In the case of a violation of the integrity of the skin, wounds heal slowly, which is a consequence of a reduced ability to regenerate.
Adipose tissue atrophy processes are actively taking place in the subcutaneous fat layer: veins swell, ligaments and bones of the hand become clearly visible.
