Electromyostimulation: tone the muscles of the face and body

In a series of previous articles, we talked about microdermabrasion, electrophoresis, and cryotherapy. In the final article of this series, we will focus on the method that is most often used in cosmetology to restore muscle tone and model the oval of the face, as well as in comprehensive figure correction programs.

Electrical stimulation is a method of therapeutic influence with pulsed currents of low and high frequency to restore the activity of organs and tissues that have lost their normal function. In physiotherapy, electrical stimulation is used mainly to affect damaged nerves and muscles, as well as internal organs that have smooth fibers in their walls (bronchi, gastrointestinal tract). In cosmetology, electrical stimulation is used to restore muscle tone and model the oval of the face, as well as in complex figure correction programs.

The electrical stimulation device consists of an electric current generator and electrodes, presented in the form of large or small plates, which are placed on the muscle areas undergoing treatment. The device distributes electrical impulses of weak intensity, which provoke microcontractions only at the muscle level. This is, figuratively speaking, passive gymnastics, the purpose of which is to restore tone to muscle fibers. This technique, widely used in sports and therapeutic gymnastics to restore and strengthen muscle groups of the body, can also produce good results on the face.
