The concept that "antioxidant is better and more antioxidant is better" seems to be embedded in the minds of many members of the public. But is this true?

Antioxidants, or more correctly, antioxidant systems, are systems whose functioning ensures the inactivation of free radicals and peroxides (lipid oxidation products), limiting and inhibiting the peroxidation of lipids. Lipid peroxidation (POL) is a free radical oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids that are part of the phospholipids of cell membranes.
Having quickly concluded about the benefits of antioxidants, you can already run to replenish supplies in the form of pills, nutritional supplements, etc. Spring has also come, the clocks have changed, stress every day, lack of sleep. The concept that "antioxidant is better, more antioxidant is better" seems to be embedded in the minds of many members of the public. Does our body really need antioxidants? Let's figure it out.
