Eyebrow architecture, or How to create a sketch in permanent makeup

The actual procedure of applying a tattoo by a qualified master is always preceded by a consultation with the client - an obligatory stage, during which the specialist can and should find out the wishes of the client about the shape and color of permanent makeup. Only at the consultation, the master, together with the client, will be able to determine the best version of the form and the necessary shades.

What is important to pay attention to first of all? We are talking about the so-called giving the face symmetry. The master determines how close the proportions of the face are to the desired, as well as to the generally accepted standards of beauty. Analyzing the shape of the face, measuring its proportions and structure will allow you to build a sketch more correctly and, possibly, hide or correct small flaws.

When creating a sketch of eyebrows before permanent makeup, masters most often turn to several basic shapes: arched, horizontal, ascending, with a break (besides the most common forms, there are also stronger ones). The type of face, features of hair growth will help the master choose the shape that will be most in harmony with facial features.

The final choice of shape will also be affected by the definition of problem areas: whether there is asymmetry, an irregular shape, or there are no hairs.

To make a successful sketch before tattooing, you need to find out the wishes of the client:

• to say in detail the desired result of the form (so that the client's expectations are realistic for execution): what should be the width, length, kink, etc. Many show photos of actresses, models or famous bloggers, I want to get one or another fashionable uniform, forgetting about the individual options of choice;
• clarify whether she uses cosmetics daily or applies makeup only “on occasion”;
• what color and saturation of the hue should be the result.

Recall the basic rules for building eyebrows:

• in order to determine the beginning of the eyebrow, you need to attach a pencil to the wing of the nose, draw it past the inner edge of the orbit. On the opposite side, the guide will pass along the point of the intended beginning of the bend;
• in order to find the break point, you need to move the pencil so that it passes through the edge of the iris (while not tearing it off the wing of the nose);
• without lifting the pencil from the wing of the nose and directing it to the outer corner of the eye, we can find the end of the bend.

When starting to draw a sketch, the master should check the entire eyebrow growth area for allergies, rashes, and inflammation on the skin in order to eliminate the risk of infection during the PM procedure.

It is important to remember that at this stage the client should be sitting in a comfortable position, with a relaxed face. Her eyes must be open. When drawing, extra hairs should be painted over with a white pencil, so that after agreeing on the shape with the client, you can pluck out the hairs that go beyond the outlines. When you have finished drawing the first eyebrow, show half of the finished sketch to the client in the mirror. At this point, you will be able to explain the reason for your choice of a particular form and describe further actions. When drawing the second eyebrow, it is important to maintain symmetry.

How to achieve symmetry of an eyebrow sketch for a tattoo and what prevents you from correctly assessing symmetry?

To make it easier for themselves when creating an eyebrow sketch, masters use additional tools. In the arsenal of the master can be a flexible ruler, threads, disposable compasses.

Different heights of hair growth on the right and left arches and uneven relief of the growth zone often make it difficult to assess the symmetry of the eyebrows correctly. In addition, the assessment can be affected by different eye levels, the inclination of the bridge of the nose to one side or the other. In the process of working on the sketch, you need to take several intermediate photos (it's easier to notice flaws if they suddenly exist) and at the end - evaluate the result from a distance of 1-2 meters.

At the same time, consultation is important in order to take into account all the wishes of the client. The master and his client must remember that perfect symmetry does not exist in nature, and in the presence of visible asymmetry, it is not necessary to adjust the face to the classical ideal of beauty - this will only emphasize the flaws.
