British woman Marian Newman has devoted more than 30 years to her career in the field of nail aesthetics. She collaborates with the largest fashion houses, creating nail designs for shows at fashion weeks. Marian also worked on the set of dozens of glossy publications - there are more than 50 Vogue covers with her works alone, and among her celebrity clients are Lady Gaga, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss and other famous beauties.
Moreover, Marian Newman has been an ambassador for one of the largest nail brands – CND – for several years. Her biggest commercial success was developing the MAC line of polishes from idea to formula. In 2020, the artist was awarded the Order of the British Empire for her assistance and support to the beauty industry during COVID-19.
“I'm someone who does nails and it's hard for me to position myself as anything else. Since most people don’t know anything about me, we decided to write a book about my career,” Marian shared.
She claims that she collected information for the book for more than two years, carefully thinking about what the publication would be about, what would be included in it, what stories and case studies should be included in it first of all. The book contains many colorful images that illustrate Marian's words, making it even more interesting to read and look at. Here you will find the most creative and crazy ideas that came to the mind of a nail artist during various filming, as well as the ways in which these ideas were brought to life.
