Velvet manicure: a winter trend worth repeating
He's everywhere!
Last year, nail artists invented a new trend, and brands producing manicure products happily picked it up. What is a velvet (or reflective) manicure and why it is worth implementing - we will tell you in the material.
This winter, velvet manicure is breaking out into the top trends, and we are glad! The sparkling and gently shimmering design on the nails is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent, and on the eve of the New Year holidays it will become the most desired accessory for many girls.
What makes it special? In fact, this manicure resembles a soft velvet fabric, and not a glossy gel polish coating. The smallest sparkling particles in the composition of special products glitter beautifully in the light, turning the manicure into a scattering of precious stones.
Brands in the nail industry have actively picked up the trend and started producing special gel polishes that help achieve the desired effect. Most often they are presented in the Cat eye series and contain several shades at once, which transform into one another under different lighting.
Velvet manicure can be mixed with different design options. Of course, it goes well with French and moon manicure, complemented with glitter and will be a great pair for winter themed nail decor. But most often velvet nails are presented in a monochrome design, because the sparkling coating already attracts maximum attention and can be considered an independent accent.
What shade should I use for a velvet manicure? Most often, nail artists choose green, gray, silver and brown shades - after all, it’s winter. But lovers of pastel colors will also be satisfied - brands are producing gel polishes in pink, milky and blue.
