We have collected five manicure options that should have long been forgotten and left in the past, especially on the eve of the new year 2022.

Modeling

Without a doubt, sculpting looks elegant and elegant on nails, but its time has passed, because now laconicism and simplicity rule the roost in design. And if your clients are not ready to give preference to a nude or “virgin” manicure, choose for them brighter but more current nail art options, for example, with large glitter, foil or voluminous nail decorations.

Maximum animal prints

Animal prints remain trendy in 2021 and 2022, but it’s important not to overdo it. The use of a variety of animal colors within one manicure (and especially one nail!) is a clear example of bad taste. And if you combine prints with geometric shapes and lines, you get complete chaos. In 2021 and 2022, we recommend using one animal print on one or two nails if the client chooses a colorful and bright color. Less contrasting brown-black designs can be done on all nails at once.

Velvet powder

A manicure with velvet powder became popular only for a moment, quickly falling into oblivion. It looks strange and tasteless, and wearing it is not the most pleasant pleasure. We suggest replacing this option with a classic matte finish, which always looks appropriate, and is especially relevant at the height of the cold season. Choose a monochrome matte manicure in fashionable emerald, blue and burgundy tones.

Excessive shine

Rhinestones, sparkles and stones in one nail design are too much, even if your client loves to stand out from the crowd. In 2021-2022, using sparkling decor is not at all prohibited, but this must be done competently and carefully, without combining all design elements at once. For example, it is important to use glitter on all nails of the hand, choosing plain large sparkles. It is better to choose miniature rhinestones for a laconic addition to designs in dark shades. But more stones can be used, but only solo and against the background of a monochrome coating.

Similar patterns

Patterns of the same type, reminiscent of the wallpaper in your grandmother’s apartment, are a clear anti-trend for next year’s manicure. Curls, monograms and other decorative elements of this type look outdated and are unlikely to decorate a girl. If the client loves prints, it is better to pay her attention to animal motifs, small peas (imitating snow or starry sky), and floral designs are ideal for the spring-summer season.
