World Bodypainting Festival 2021: how the famous body art festival went

World Bodypainting Festival is a celebration of art, filled with beauty, vibrant shows, music, entertainment and adventure. You could feel part of this incredible event in 2021 from July 18 to 24. This year the event was held in a hybrid format due to the COVID-19 situation around the world. Participants created in eight categories both offline in the city of Klagenfurt in southern Austria and online.

Artists from 48 nationalities in 17 time zones around the world participated and submitted their work. On the corresponding competition day in a certain time zone, the masters painted within three to eight and a half hours, depending on the nomination, and the photo had to be sent before midnight. The next day the jury voted.

This year the world premiere of the new World Award in Camouflage Bodypainting took place right in Klagenfurt on Lake Wörther See. The LIVE World Bodypainting exhibition was held in the same place and an ONLINE TV SHOW was held so that every participant, no matter where he was, could feel like a part of this magical action.

We gladly congratulate all the winners and, of course, we are especially happy for the Ukrainian women who took prizes! Our team took part in the championship for the first time in 2018 and immediately took a record number of prizes. This year, Ukrainian masters brought home several more high-profile victories, confirming their high level of skill.
